My nephew bought a used car from them. The next day, the car stopped running. My husband went to pick him up, and there was no oil showing on the dipstick. My hudband put 3 quarts in before the oil started showing on the dipstick. They towed the car for us, and said there was nothing wrong with the oil...but the gas guage was broken. They fixed it and 5 days later the car stopped running again. This time, the oil was completely dry and the engine seized. We had to tow the car to them, and they said my nephew must have been racing around in the car, running up the engine in a low gear, and he had destroyed the engine. They also told us that their manager had seen him over on the Eastern Shore, driving back roads at 80 mph. When I asked what day this was, they named a day when he was at work all day, and in school until 10 PM. There was no way he could have been where they said he was, and the manager told me he didnt believe me. They tried to say we had bought the car "as is", even though the paperwork showed a 30-day guarantee. Finally, they grudgingly agreed to replace the engine but we had to pay 1/2 the cost because of the way the guarantee was written. They required me to pay our entire cost before doing any work. When I went in to make the payment, I asked specifically if this would cover the entire cost of the engine replacement -- there would be no add-ons. The service manager told me it included everything. We were also told (by the general manager) that there was a 12-month warranty on the replacement engine. 10 days later, I called to find out if the car was ready and they said it was. My husband and I went to pick it up, and not only wasnt it ready but they had done another $300+ worth of repairs and not gotten our agreement first. The service manager said it was because my nephew had given him incorrect phone #s, and that why he couldnt reach us. I was the one who gave him the contact phone #s, the day I went in to make the payment. We waited almost 2 hours for the car, and when they presented the paperwork, it stated, "No warranty -- as-is." They tried to tell us that they "never" warranty their work, and when I mentioned the general manager, they said, "Oh, hes no longer with the company." It took another 30 minutes, and 3 more people getting involved, before we got the paperwork changed. Also, the knobs were missing from the heat/ac unit. The service manager said my nephew must have changed out the radio and lost the knobs to the heat/ac in the process. (He did not change out the radio). Then, on the way home, a large plastic cover under the engine fell halfway off and was dragging on the ground. As soon as I got home, I called them and the service manager told me the screws must have loosed and dropped out, and for us to remove the cover and bring it back in and they would replace it. I would NEVER do business with this company again. They lie, cover up their own ineptitude, and dont fulfill their commitments. I cant imagine how they stay in business.

I have bought 2 vehicles from this dealership and the customer service is actually the reason I stay loyal. I as well own a dog and love it very much which is why I do not let it go under fences that say beware of dog not to mention after dealership hours. Sorry to hear about that dog, but no need to try and give this place nor the owner a reputation they simply dont deserve. I recommend this dealership to all, especially hispanics given most of the staff when I visit speaks spanish.

So far I am pleased with IAD in Beltsville, MD. Ive had the pleasure to meet with Ali and Daniel who are both very nice, professional and really attempt to get the business done. Unfortunately they could not get me into a car due to my credit score and current trade in therefore I must wait. I love their car selection and if or when i become eligible, I would probably purchase a car from this dealership.

I had a great experience at the IAD auto Beltsville location. They had wonderful pre owned cars on the lot. Leo Garcia helped me find the exact car I wanted. He also made sure I was well informed during the car buying process and answered all my questions. I didnt know buying a car could be this easy. Correction-ZERO STARS. This facility has a vicious German Sheppard dog on the premises. This dog has killed one dog in the neighborhood already. The owner of this dealership, "Freddy", has stated that this vicious dog was only “doing its job”. Simply disgusting, both dog and owner alike. If you love animals, please- DO NOT SUPPORT THIS DEALERSHIP.
