I decided to give Drive time a rating of 3 for these particular reasons. My sales rep (‘Torrance’) gave me life in the car buying experience; he was extremely professional, polite, and just out right a breath of fresh air. While working with him I never felt in any way that I was being scammed or just completely ran over top of, I was given pros and cons, and full explanations on everything that I asked. He is based on my experience what, I would consider to be a reputable car sales associate. I will be honest and say I was not satisfied in anyway with the lack of organization that was shown when it came down to my purchase. I am totally taking into consideration that the particular car of my liking was one that was not prepped for sale yet, and that there were some additional steps that needed to be taken. However though, with being the very first person to walk into the dealership that morning and not leaving until well after 6:00 is not freaking cool. I said in the beginning, I choose to give Drive Time a 3, I did this because it was not my experience with the guy that sold me my car, My “Horrible” experience began when I came in contact with the GM (Al Williams). I mentioned in my review that the particular car of my liking was not necessary available for sale yet because it needed to be prepped, inspected etc.… Well there were three choices of cars that I was interested in and one of them just happened to be a choice of the GM’s as well, when I inquired about the car, I was snapped at by this guy and told that the car was not for sale, later on in my experience after selecting the my car I noticed that there was some minor body concerns, (which I’m hoping can be addressed, I am still within my 5days). When this was brought to GM’s attention he said that after paying my deposit and being at this location for well over 7hrs that the only option that I had, would be for him to not sale me the car (What is up with this guy’s out right RUDE A** attitude) Finial straw for me I mentioned that the process with me seemed to be not organized and just completely all over the place, well at some point after paying deposit but not yet signing the contract?? (concerns) My sales rep completely vanished for a longer period of time then he had already been doing, I decided to go and see what was going on I was then directed by GM, to lets go ahead and get your contract taken care of. I will say from that forward on I became more and more dissatisfied this guy was talking to me in a complete down manner at some point he told me that “They were doing me a favor” I knew that he could see the discomfort on my face, because he continued to ask me was I, Okay and at times when I didn’t respond and my reasoning at times for not responding was because I was refraining from not getting out of character with this guy, he continued to bagger me the entire time snatching paper from me, it was out right horrible (I actually think that because of me looking like I’m a 14yr old kid he thought that his behavior would be excusable, some people tend not to take younger adult as serious as older adults) Honestly I don’t know this was just a horrible experience it really made me not want to do business, but the amount of time this took, the fact that everything else was closed or closing if I would have needed to take different options etc. I am still within my 5 days, I am taking the car to the original manufacturer and have them to do a diagnostic and also just completely review my contract and see if there are other options, because I will say after this experience I no longer feel comfortable with my decision. When you purchase something whether it be New or Used you want to walk away feeling satisfied not so Upset that you could scream… seriously.

I bought my car from Drivetime about two months ago. I enjoy my car and Porsche, my dealer was awesome. I was contacted to return to sign some documents and when I went back they told me I only had to sign my title for my trade in. 3 weeks later after paying my car note and working a 16-hour shift , I left my job to find out my car had been repossessed by Drivetime. When I went in to find out why they took my payment and towed my car, I fins out it is because THEY made a mistake in my paperwork. Drivetime made the mistake on my paperwork but they inconvenience my whole life for a mistake they made and they did not offer any accommodation for inconvenience nor did they provide me with the customer service I deserved as a paying customer. They have held my car for 4 days now, remind you my car note has been paid. Ive had to uber my children to school and uber to work already spending over $100 in transportation fees, none of which Drivetime has accommodated. I would not recommend Drivetime to anyone! As the customer, I should not have to pay for their mistakes but unfortunately, I am. Save yourself the trouble and the money and take your business to a company that will correct their mistakes and accommodate you as a customer. I called and ask when my car will be returned and they only said "Sometime next week" and without any regard for my life and family, they placed no urgency on the tow company and their customer care specialist offered no other solutions or compensation. This has been the worst experience I ever had purchasing a car and paying my note and still having my car towed. Furthermore, when calling to check on the status of my car being returned, I was placed on hold for 20 minutes, called back 3 times and no one made themselves available to help me. Their concern is more with selling the car but there is no regard for the paying and returning customer. I expected alot more from Drive time seeing as how the mistake was made on their part, but I was wrong. I would recommend Auto Giants over Drive time any day!

If you are a first time buyer, please see Ms. Robinson...this lady is absolutely amazing. She helped me with everything...she successfully helped me get my first car!!!! The staff was amazing. Derik, was also very helpful...they have an amazing leasing deal that I could not pass up!!! The only down thing I have to say is that if u dont get your leased car at that moment it will be gone by tomorrow....i highly recommend Drive time to any first time buyers...From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank Ms . Robison for all of her patience and honestly!!!! THE UPDATE: please if you are buying a car from this company take someone with you who knows about cars. I purchased my car in April I have had problems with the car. Battery died the next day I purchase it, power wheel locked on me while drive, sometimes car wont start (which still happens) etc. Had to take the car to the shop about 4 times also I now need 3 new tires. The tires were from different companies and one was even from 2003!!!! What? Now I do understand that these cars are used but I believe that the company should do a better check on the cars. Atleast to let the potential buyers know what they are getting into or not sale crapy cars. Of couse I called to see what could be done but basically its you get what you paid for, the only time you could get another car is if you put another down payment or to fix the car is more than the value of the car! Not saying that this place is bad but do your research and try to find other options. I will not be purchasing another car from here.
