I drive a long way to shop at Chevy Chase: there is always available parking, you never have to wait in a check out line, the store has almost everything I want to buy, there is a real butcher shop that grinds its own meat daily (never have to worry about those bulk ground meat recalls, plus it tastes better), it also carries prime meat and cuts to order, the wine selection is more than sufficient for everyday and special occasion dining, and the ice cream is always on sale. The fruits and vegetable selections have been much improved over the years and now feature locally grown produce. There are also local eggs from the Eastern Shore. I love this store. And no, I dont work there, and Im in no way related to the owners.

I think its a GREAT place to shop. Unusually wide selection... And COMPETITIVE PRICES (IF they are higher than the nearby GIANT, are NOT MUCH HIGHER)... Peploe are GREAT... Helpful and friendly... Excellent (high quality) fruits and veggies (at pretty much standard prices). EXCELLECT Deli (with top quality meats AND Munchee Cheese (which is hard to find (and theyll give you a taste)),. Good Dairy section (with organic product) and a Wine section (which is only slightly higher than the discount vendors (like Rodmans) and Beer at competitive prices. And Good packaged bread from a local bakery (forget the name)... I know this sounds like a paid ad, but it is not. Its a really GREAT Super Market. /jeff

I shop here because I like to support non-chain local business. That said, its a fairly small store with a somewhat limited range of choices and its a little pricey. But the service is excellent. Good selection of beer and wine and a good deli/prepared food case.

Super friendly staff. All the good (non generic) brands. Easy to park and get in and out. Never much of a line. Wine and beer!! Priced a little higher than supermarket - you pay some for convenience but its worth it!
