A bit over a year ago, I would have given this Walmart two (2) stars due to their horrid customer service. It was really that bad. There were only a handful of friendly workers. Most of the nice ones were long-term employees we have seen for years. That said, I have seen some improvements over the past year, but they still need to flush out the rest of the bad ones; most of which are cashiers. This is not good for the store since these cashiers are often the last employee you see before leaving. They can take an overall good shopping experience only to leave a bad taste in your mouth as you are making your way toward the door. A simple, "Did you find everything OK?" would go along way. This simple gesture would be a solicitation for feedback, and a last ditch effort as an opportunity to rectify any problems, thus the potential to make a happy customer. Not to mention it costs the company nothing to improve their customer service with something like this. Customer service has always been Walmarts Achilles heel. On a side note, I see they are making an effort to revamp the produce section. They have a large amount of square footage in their produce section, but the selection is a fraction that of other grocery stores. They could probably benefit from another cold case if strategically placed.

I just had a unexpectedly great experience from this walmart: I had called to ask about a stainless steel mug I had lost there. Of course the phone rang endlessly (9:45 p.m. +-), suddenly a friendly voice answered, she listened to my sad story and sent me over to Customer Service but not in a omg, you are such a pain kind of way. I listened to more endless ringing suddenly answered by someone asking if I could hold: I said "I guess", but just as I was getting a little peeved I heard a mans voice say "Ill take it" and answer, listen to my story and go look for my mug. Altogether the call was >9 mins, mostly waiting for someone to answer. All 3 people I spoke with were unexpectedly friendly, polite and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised. I want to also give special mention to Support Manager Eddie for stepping up and helping out the very busy customer service woman and taking care of my sad story. Yay, a good experience this time w our Dorchester Square walmart. Not always so, but I hope I can explain in a different review.

Where do I begin? Lets start with the shopping carts. Almost all of them have a flat spot on the wheels from staff dragging the carts sideways in order to line up the carts to push them in the building. This is not their fault, it was poor building design. This flat spot makes the cart shake and causes it to rattle and make a ton of noise. I have over the years handed scores of items over to the manager that have expired. One item, a jar of peanut butter, had been expired for almost a year. I found pizza shells that were so moldy they had condensation collecting in a small puddle inside the package. Their water dispenser for large water container refills is usually dirty and the card documenting service is not always filled out properly. The main problem is a lack of interest by the employees to make this place the way it should operate. It is as if some of them have given up. Thankfuly there are some employees who do take pride in their work, but sadly not enough to make a difference. What a shame.

My husband and I went to Walmart on a Thursday around 5:30 p.m. We were looking for a 12-13 pound whole beef brisket. We went back to the meat department and we were told that everyone was gone that worked in the meat department. Are you kidding me? They are supposed to be open 24 hrs! Why not have someone there at least until 9:00. Anyway, after talking to three different employees and one manager about looking for a brisket for us, we were told that they didnt have any but they were expecting a truck the next day and we should check back. So.....we go back a day later and the manager of the meat department tell us that he just threw three of the briskets away (and he had even discounted them) and that they were there when we went in the day before. Obviously, someone just didnt want to be bothered. Customer service at this Walmart is terrible!! I doubt I will ever shop there again!

Went through the self check out and I had an item that I needed the check out lady to clear. Well she was standing right next to me helping an African American couple and doing the scanning for them ( defeating the purpose of the self checkout). She would not take a moment to clear an item that I had deleted from my order. Most irritating part was she turned to me 3 times to help and each time she returned to them to bag and scan some more items. I felt neglected and discriminated due to the fact that the checkout lady was also African-American and I am Caucasian. White lives do matter.

Actually one of the better Walmarts I have shopped. At least when I am there (weekends) I never have to wait long in line. The employees really work. Go getters staff the garden area and the paint counter. I have bought lots of paint and had it mixed there, something I never ever would have done in some of the other Walmarts in Maryland, especially on the Western Shore. However, as with any Walmart nationally, stay away from the meats (go to Food Lion or Sav-a-lot) but all other groceries are fine.

I liked the way they had a huge selection of all different things but the employees are lazy and talk like they have food in there mouths but they are poor uneducated black people that have come from a history of very poor and this town had serious racial discrimination during the civil rights times. You cannot expect much from the relatives of Harriet Tubman. Hard times and extremely poor situations and bad education over hundreds of years results in poor customer service.

I live in the area so I frequent this particular Wal-Mart all the time...only complaint I have is with the electronics department and the poor service and long wait! On many occasions I have had to ask for an employee to be called to the department or have had to wait long periods of time to be attended to due to lack of enough employees in the electronics department.

My son needed a watch battery replaced and new pins for his band. The lady at the jewelry center , Tina, was very sweet and searched through tons of spare watch pins to find just the right ones and put them in for us, difficult as this watch was to fit properly. Many thanks miss Tina :)

Good prices. Always have what Im looking for. Helpful staff convinced me to buy a tv and get a Walmart card. Damn those two women ( I wish I remembered their names) were very good salespeople and they worked as a team.
