I cannot comment on any food, but I can tell you from a position of knowledge that there coffee beans are an abomination. They are so over roasted that they are black and oily. The oils are a significant portion of the multi-layered flavor of good coffee. You want to keep them in the bean. Why would someone purposefully over roast the bean? Just ask Starbucks. It increases the shelf life of the beans to months. The bitter burnt flavor will remain consistent for a long time. Good quality well roasted beans have a shelf life of about two weeks before the flavor profile begins to degenerate. It the same reason that high quality roasters put the roasting date on the bag( of course absent from CQ). If you want coffee with a real tasting profile order yours from Counterculture or Handsome or Stumptown. If you want a local version of Starbucks then CQ is your ticket.

I made a trip here based on reviews I had seen online . The atmosphere was great for a coffee oriented shop and I was able to spread out my newspaper and read for a while. The desserts looked like they were meant for at least two people and there was a great selection of coffees and teas. I paid $2.80 for a pot of Jasmine tea that contained about 12 ounces - very overpriced and no refill of the pot. However, my Reuben sandwich was --- mediocore. I did not taste the sauerkraut at all and the bread was ordinary. The side of cole slaw was nice tasting. But after finishing both, I was still pretty hungry. There was only one other person in the restaurant and service was slow.

Should be called "sandwich quarter" the coffee is awful. The staff is friendly, but knows NOTHING about coffee. I got treated like an alien for asking basic questions about the roast and brewing. The sandwiches are great. The amount of meat ranges from a good portion to an extremely generous portion depending on the staff member. I still order to-go there for lunch about once each month, but Id be there a lot more if the coffee was up to par.

You just cant go wrong with this place! The sandwiches are excellent, the people are friendly, and the beverages are awesome! The ingredients are high quality and fresh, and the prices are more than reasonable. Its also quite obvious that this is a locally-owned business that cares about its community. If you want a coffee, tea, or sandwich, this is the place to go!

I love this place. Ive never been disappointed with the food, everything Ive tried has been delicious. I usually get an Andes mint smoothie (with espresso) when I stop in for a coffee. Way better than Starbucks. So much better. The staff is fantastic, always friendly and cheerful.

Came here for a lunch Rueben and was pleasantly surprised. It doesnt look like much from outside (its in a strip mall) but its actually a pretty trendy looking cafe. Seems like one of the only cool non-chain coffee-shops/cafes around. Ill definitely be back.

GREAT WiFi! (60Mbps) I appreciated that. The espresso was really good too but I wish they put it in a ceramic mug instead of a to go cup since I wasnt taking it to go. The paper flavor gets through.

Free trivia on Mondays. Friendly staff. Good selection of drinks (cold, hot and adult) and sweet treats. Food is hand prepared at time of order so is as fresh as it can be.

Theyve gone severely down hill. Its good food and drinks but you probably wont get what you actually ordered. Took 20 minutes to get an iced latte and breakfast sandwich.

Always good to support a local shop, rather than starbucks or panera, it helps their sandwiches are tasty!
