We had a very good experience when we bought 4 appliances from them. We also purchased the extended warranty because they told a good story about the high quality of their in house service. Our washer quit working in the second year on the first day of school - a Monday. My wife called the next day and we were told that Friday was the earliest they could come and that our warranty had expired. So we looked up our paperwork and they were very apologetic. Later we found out that they only service our county 2 days a week, which they had failed to mention when we bought it. The service man showed up and found that we had it stacked and in a pan - exactly as they had installed it. He was alone and could not do anything. They said they would come back in another week on Friday. We called to point out to the manager that they should have known and he was nice, but did not manage to get us an earlier appointment. When they came on Friday, they found an adult sized sock had been sucked into the pump and told us that the warranty did not cover that strictly speaking but that he would fix it anyway. He said that we violated the warranty by not putting the socks in a bag to wash them as our manual dictates. They did cover it but we were warned it would not be covered again. We checked the manual and it only applies to infant socks. Our main complaint here is that we were sold on the service and it appears that they are potentially being deceptive (at worst) or should have been more up front with their business practices (at best). We are in the market for some more appliances and had planned to buy from them, but I am not sure they are any better than a big box store.

Stopped in to just look at washer and dryers. Was greeted by Butch who showed us around and explained the washers and dryers to us. They were having a July 4th sale so I asked my wife to make up her mind. Butch helped her find a machine that met all of her requirements. He also pointed out that the dryer had a bubble back and he wanted to make sure it would fit in our space. That put the sale on hold until I could measure our space. Butch provided me with the specs for the machines and I told him that I would return on Monday. On Monday I returned and bought the next set up the line. I thought the original prices quoted were just too cheap to be good. I believe that you get what you pay for. Butch scheduled the delivery and set up. B&S showed up when they said they would, performed the set up without damaging our house or the hard wood floors and hauled the old stuff away. Very good experience. I would recommend B&S and Butch for your appliance needs. Did I mention that Butch gave me the paperwork to obtain three rebates.

Lesson learned....never write a review prior delivery. I wrote a 5 star review a few days ago based on the promises made by Terry at Bray and Scarff, but last night at 7 pm (night before our scheduled delivery) everything changed. We were notified that our delivery had been rescheduled, without our consent, because two items were not delivered to their warehouse. During the sale, they told us that they were one of the only companies that could access Whirlpool products quickly, however, they knew about order for two weeks and still could not deliver on time. They did not even ask if we wanted the other two in stock items delivered as scheduled. This was a disaster since we had removed all of our appliances in preparation for our delivery. Two of them had already been sold and the other two were pending pick up the day after delivery. We are extremely disappointed in the customer service at Bray and Scarff. Luckily, we found another store that could deliver on time. We will never visit Bray and Scarff again.

My old dishwasher gave out on me on New Years Day and I didnt want to spend the rest of my life washing dishes by hand. I had already spent money on another repair so it was time to get a new one. I stopped by the Bray and Scarff in Bowie (behind Bowie Town Center) and Butch was there to help me out. He patiently explained the features of a few different models keeping in mind that my main concern was a quiet dishwasher. Butch ended up providing me with an excellent dishwasher at a very reasonable price. Since I had already gone through two other dishwashers (from other companies) I also got the service contract which is very comprehensive. Installation went well. The installer came at the time he said he would and took out the old one, put in the new one, tested it to make sure it worked well and didnt leak and was on his way in a little over an hour. I loved my experience with Butch and with Bray and Scarff in Bowie. Im a happy camper and Ill be back for my future appliance needs.

I recently purchased kitchen appliances at the Bowie store. Terry Lane was great! He assisted me with my purchase. I told him that I was updating my kitchen and replacing the appliances. I told him what I wanted and he quickly guided me to the exact appliances on the sales floor. He was very knowledgeable and I appreciate that. I explained to him that we wanted to replace our counter tops as well, he then referred me to Donna King. I took my husband back to the store to finalize the sale and we didnt finish until after closing. Terry didnt miss a beat, he continued to process our sale and did not rush us! He is a true professional and I can tell that he puts his customers 1st! I have since received my appliances and I must say that even the delivery guys were great. I am very happy to do business locally and appreciate the extraordinary service that I received at the Bowie Bray & Scarff location. Great Job Terry!

I purchased my Whirlpool 5-Burner Freestanding 5.8-cu ft Self-Cleaning Convection Gas Range from the Bowie location. Kevin James was my sales associate and he was super helpful and answered all my questions! He took time and helped me compare the range I came in looking for to this model that I ultimately bought that was slightly higher but offered many more features that I did not originally think about. (He even charged my cell phone for me~ Thanks for going the extra mile!) Even though he was new on the job, I never felt uneasy and his store manager was right there to make sure I was happy through out the process. My delivery happened just as promised. I received the confirmation call 24 hours before as promised and a call 20 minutes before they would arrive to let me know they were on their way. The install was quick and thorough. I will surely make future purchases from this location.

My wife and I recently purchased a GE profile double wall oven (PT9550SFSS) from Bray & Scarff. Our appliance representative was Mr. Brandon Colbert. Mr. Colbert was extremely helpful throughout the entire purchasing and installation process. We were particularly impressed with his professional knowledge of the different appliances while patiently answering many questions to our satisfaction and understanding. Moreover, during the installation process Mr. Colbert provided us with timely information and followed up with us to ensure our satisfaction with the product. It was a pleasure working with this particular store due to the knowledge, professionalism and customer service provided by the sales staff. At no time did we feel pressured to make a decision on any item of interest. We will surely return in the near future to make supplemental purchases under the guidance of Mr. Colbert.
