Do not under any circumstances buy appliances from Bray and Scarff. This is the first time Ive ever written a negative review of anyone, but their service has been so atrocious that it warrants one. I have been unbelievably disappointed in them, and wish I had bought my appliances somewhere else. We bought (and paid for) a new slide in range, a dishwasher, and refrigerator almost 2 months ago - including paying hundreds of dollars in installation fees. (1) The range did not work. And still doesnt. (2) The refrigerator door doesnt shut properly because it was installed incorrectly. (3) The dishwasher had to be installed at a slant because the measurements werent done properly (we have a small kitchen, so things are tight). Granted, getting a range that doesnt work is a manufacturers issue and just bad luck, but replacing it and servicing it is not. Ive had technicians come out several times to check the electrical wires, test the control panel, etc and theyve all said that the range is just bad and needs to be replaced. I will say that one technician (Art) who has come out to check on the range a couple times has been helpful and responsive (the issues are beyond his control though). Each time Ive called to complain or have something corrected I get added to the waiting queue and it takes another week or so for another technician to come out. My new range was scheduled to be delivered today (finally), but I never received a phone call to verify the time. This is the third time theyve "scheduled" me for a delivery or service and there has been confusion and they havent shown up. When I called to check, I was told that they were stuck in traffic, but still, no one has even let me know what times Im supposed to be available at home. To add insult to injury, the guy answering the phone was extremely rude to me after I have been very patient and way too nice with this whole mess. At this point, Ive wasted several days sitting around at home waiting for technicians to show up (and then they havent), and have had no working range for a couple weeks - with two young toddlers in the house. It is beyond inconvenient. Not to mention, that I paid them weeks ago - before they even showed up to install the appliances. The salesperson and manager at Bray and Scarff Cockeysville have done absolutely nothing to help the situation. They told me they would refund a portion of the installation fees, but they did not do that either. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use them. Buy your appliances somewhere else.

In 2012 we bought a Whirlpool HE washer/dryer set in Rockville. Nick, who is now in Bethesda, was the salesman. We purchased a five year warranty with a "money back" guarantee. That is, after five years, if we did not need to use the warranty for a repair, we would have a credit equal to our warranty price to purchase another appliance. Recently I spoke with Nick on the phone to use this credit on purchasing a new Microwave. Nick cheerfully set this up, and arranged for delivery to the Timonium (Cockeysville) store that is more convenient for us. Our contact in Timonium was Tim, who coordinated and confirmed timing of the pickup with me over the phone, and then helped me load it into the car after a very quick bit of paperwork. Thanks, Tim! We love the original washer and dryer, we had five years of peace of mind, and now we have a new microwave. I thought people would like to know that Bray and Scarff does what they say they will do. BTW the store in Timonium is a truly beautiful wonderland of the latest and greatest in kitchen ideas...it is well worth the visit just to see what they have.

After spending time researching online our dishwasher options (there are so many), we decided to check out Bray & Scarff. It was our first large appliance purchase and everything about our experience at Bray & Scarff was excellent. The store manager, Brian S., was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what questions to ask to find out what dishwasher would be the best fit for us. We were also very happy with the warranty options, which were minimal at Lowes and Home Depot. Delivery was a breeze! We purchased on a Monday and had the new dishwasher installed by Friday. The gentlemen who installed was on time, kept everything clean, and gave my husband some tips on how to use the dishwasher. We couldnt have asked for a better experience! Thank you, Brian and Bray & Scarff! We look forward to returning for the rest of our appliance upgrades.

My spouse and I had a favorable experience purchasing a new dishwasher at Bray and Scarff in Timonium. Michael was available to help at various steps in the process. We were especially pleased with the installation work done by Richard. He demonstrated complete confidence in what he needed to do at every step of the install. We wish, though, that the rebate program for reimbursement of the delivery and the installation costs that needed to be paid upfront was structured differently. It would be so much better for the customer if those rebates were simply included upfront. Filling out forms (though Michael did help with that step), mailing them in, and waiting up to 8 weeks to receive reimbursements is just not the experience that we want to have when making a significant purchase.

We did a major renovation of our kitchen, new floor and new appliances. We had looked at appliances at a competitor and were about to buy from them when they delayed things for about two weeks. We went to Bray and Scarff in the meantime and got a better price and quick service. We bought all the major appliances, Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, Wall oven/microwave combo and a range hood. So we spent a couple of bucks with them. They simplified the purchase and the rebate process. On the install they worked with us on the timing of the pre measurements and the install itself. And the installers were quick and efficient and took care not to damage the brand new floor we installed. All in all a pleasant experience.

The salesmen in the Timonium store were very knowledgeable and patient in helping us select our new appliances. We love our quiet Kitchen Aid dishwasher and attractive Kitchen Aid slide-in range. There were some manufacturing problems (noisy, warped) with the Jenn-Air drop-in grill/cooktop, but without question it was replaced, as was the griddle. The original installation crew cut the granite countertop too wide. Luckily, the second crew (Clifton Koonce, Jerraill Burney, Mike Grant) that came to replace the defective Jenn-Air cooktop were outstanding and measured for countertop trim strips, which they came back to install. Im very happy now, and I commend Cliff and his crew for their excellent service.

Richard delivered our new dishwasher promptly and well within the time window we had gotten. He arrived in a small panel truck and parked on the street, far more convenient than other deliveries, which used very large trucks which blocked the whole street until the 30-60 minute installations could be completed. He completed the installation and took the old dishwasher away promptly, quietly and without drama. He told us how to use the dishwasher and gave us the instruction manuals and detergent and rinse agent samples. He is welcome back any time. Plus, the new dishwasher is a treat.

Awesome experience.....from the time we walked through the doors to the day our appliances were delivered and installed. Tim G was very friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through our purchase selection making it easy and painless. He even prepared the rebate forms so that all we had to do is add the serial number on delivery. The install crew was very polite and professional and on time !!! Why would anyone go to a box store when you can go to Bray and Scarff for personal service. A++++ rating in our book. Just wished they sold underwear....lol
