As a single girl living in the city, I am often looking for answers to home maintenance issues. I usually have no idea what I need to buy to fix what ever issue I may be having with my new row home. Not knowing too many people in the area I turned to the hardware stores. Usually I would stop by a large chain store on my way home from work. When I would ask for help I didn’t receive the best assistance. They had no idea what I was talking about (mind you, I am using terms like, “you know that metal thing that connects to the thingy…”). But instead of helping me figure out exactly what was wrong they just gave me a shelved answer and said, “Try this…” (None of their answers worked). Of course about 3 attempts later I stopped trying the large chain store and decided to try the local neighborhood hardware store, Zeskinds. They were incredibly helpful, even with my lack of house hold maintenance knowledge. After asking me a few questions they knew exactly what I needed and it worked. It’s nice to know there are still places like that you can lean on.

Ive lived in South Baltimore for a few years now and, with a rowhome that was originally built over 100 years ago, Ive been looking for a reliable hardware store. This is it. Whether you just need an extra-long phillips screwdriver, or drywall supplies for your serious bathroom remodeling project- Zeskinds can help. Theyve been in the neighborhood for years and are familiar with a lot of common home and construction types. The prices are reasonable and the service is second to none- they even gave me great advice for some plumbing AND roof issues I had. Dont bother with the big names. I love supporting local businesses and these guys have earned my loyalty.

Recently, I found myself with a growing list of those annoying projects that any homeowner must face. The only problem is that I live in the City and wasnt sure where I could go to pick up the items I needed. Zeskinds is not too far from my house and I went down there. What I found put the big chain hardware stores to shame. The personal service and great prices are not to be beat. If you give Zeskinds a try, youll find it will quickly become your regular hardware store.

We used Zeskinds to replace our kitchen cabinets when selling our home in Crownsville - we had used them before for cabinets in the laundry room, and wanted the kitchen to match (Wolf, painted white). The design service is excellent, and the cabinets turned out PERFECT! Other quotes for the job were higher and were not going to be done in time...with the guys at Zeskinds, we were confident that the quality and craftsmanship was top notch. Thanks again!
