I brought several bags from them by a company called green thumb and here are the results of two of them • ★★★★★ ★★★★★ 1 out of 5 stars. you · a few seconds ago Defective products I brought this a month ago, and after following the directions I applied it using two and a half bags on my yard. It first made patches of burned grass, then weeds came up like some kind of ivy, and a third of my yard is covered with it. I called this company and they gave me a hard time telling me that it was not from their product inside the weed and feed but from seeds that were already in my yard. I been doing my yard for over 12 years and never had a problem like this until now. The woman put her phone down , and I heard her say. How can I get rid of this guy?? This actually added weeds and crab grass!!. Didnt work. Saw a few small weeds in my yard. Figured Id apply this from Ace instead of Scotts, as I used a few months before. I bought the 15,000 sqft bag and it was full of sand filler, crab grass, and weeds. Never again. I know its the product because after I applied it the sidewalk edging had weeds where there wasnt any before from sweeping excess off the sidewalks and driveway. ✘ They sold me defective products and when I went back to them , they said we cant do nothing about it. The owner is a idiot.

....always love to deal with the smaller family owned businesss with sales and service...they always make you feel like they want your business...you can have the big box stores and they charge you for everything thats If they do service at all. ..just the amount of time you waste just getting someone to wait on you is not worth the small difference in price if any...we need the Hostetters to remind us of the past and how things used to be when they were much more personal and fun to shop...Thank You!!...

The company I work for asked Hostetters to fix a washing machine at a property we manage. They spent several hours trying to fix it, but it would have cost more to fix it than to replace it. They gave us professional opinion, and then did not charge us for their labor! The experience we had with them was great.

Well-stocked and very good prices. My only complaint - I shop there regularly, but get ignored by the male clerks in the hardware and construction departments. When a male friend goes in, however, they are all over him, being helpful. I dont like being invisible.

They have most anything you would need if they werent always closed. Showed up at 5 til closing and the door is already locked. Their hours are impossible for anyone who actually works but they are the only hardware store for miles.

Each time I visit the J.B. Hostetter store I am greeted by folks who are knowledgeable and able to direct me to the proper isle and assist me with my needs. It is unusual to have to look for help.

Great place!!! A good old fashioned hardware store...just like the old days. You never have to hunt and search for help and the staff is usually able to help you with questions.
