Determination pays off When my mechanic called and told me that he could fix my transmission in my 2001 Acura MDX, but it was like waiting for my 90 year old grandma to pass any day I was both nervous and frustrated. I did not have the option to go out and buy a car outright as I did with my last SUV. I looked at a couple Acura MDXs at several different dealerships. Either the SUV was out of my price range, had too many miles, or the color was just not the right fit for me. One dealership tried to put me in a Hyundai Santa Fe but at first glance I knew it was not the right SUV for me or my family. That dealers fiance guy swore up and down that that was the best I would find and I should just take his offer. I chose to walk away. As my search continued I stumbled across a 2009 Black on Black Acura MDX with low miles at a price a little outside of my budget. I had my husband take me to Exclusive Motor Cars in Baltimore City. Located in the Park Heights community, this dealership doesnt have all the bells and whistles of a big chain dealership. You are not going to walk into a large building with several extra shiny cars on a show room floor. What you will notice is the friendly hard working staff and fragrances. It smelled really good in there. I was greeted by Mcqueen. I explained my situation and told him what my budget was. I also reiterated the fact that I really wanted the 2009 Acura MDX. Mcqueen submitted my paperwork to the James in the finance department. I was informed that the MDX was out of my budget due to me less than perfect credit history (its bad really bad lol). They offered to put me in a Honda Crosstour. While I liked the car it was not going to fit me or my four children comfortably. James called me in the office and stated that while they could send me to some less reputable banks they did not want to set me up for failure. I was impressed with that. So I said thank but no thanks to the Crosstour and walked away from the MDX. Two days later I received a text message from Mcqueen who stated that if I could put $2000 down I could take home the MDX. I went back to the dealership and informed them that I did have the money but I was not willing to pay a $555 car payment and the interest rate would have to come down. (Imagine me with bad credit demanding a lower payment and lesser interest rate). I put $1000 to hold the car as I saw a lady eyeballing my MDX and I had to politely, but sternly informed her "its mine"! So Again I left without my Acura MDX. The next morning (07/07/16) I caught a bus and a subway to Exclusive Motor Cars. My interest rate was lower and so were my payments and picked up the keys to my SUV!!!! Mcqueen James, James and Hank did a great job on getting me in my dream SUV with payments that I can afford! Thanks guys I will come again.

Its what I expected. I showed up with a price from true car. When I was given the write up for the car, the price was 850+ more than what as listed on line. I was handled between two people Dewayne and Anthony. Dewaye was nice however I didnt care for Anthony. When I was called back by DeWayne after not purchasing the car the first night, I explained the price difference between what was shown on Truecar vs their website. I was told that the difference could be worked out and that to come on in. I went in and was met by Anthony. He has the personality of a pet rock with a hint of sarcasm. I was given another work up sheet by Anthony and there was still the price difference. I asked him about it and he pointed to some terms and conditions on the very bottom of the page. I was annoyed at this point but I was ok, I dont feel like looking for another car and just went with it. I asked to see the car again, Anthony took me back to the car because it had to be put back into the lot for the night. Even with the back up cam on, Anthony bumped the car behind the car we were in and looked over at me and said ...oops. I was given 1000 dollars for my trade in, and I was made to feel like they did me a favor. I was told that If anything was wrong with the car, to bring it back and they would "take care of it." Well their version of taking care of it covers 1000 miles or 30 days, which ever you reach first, only 50 percent of the engine or transmission. Sounds like significantly less than the verbal "well take care of it." So if it falls outside of that, their response would be, should have paid for their extended warranty. My car makes a noise that I clearly hear, but after I asked 3 of the men that worked there about it, they claimed they never heard it. Convenient. They called and asked me to come get my tags. I sent someone else, they said it was ok, as long as I told them the person ahead of time and they had their ID when they came to get my tags. Well the person that had my tags was so interested in trying to get the number of the person that came to get the tags, that they didnt check anything. Thank goodness, I got the right tags. This dealership...I wish I could say I would go back, but it would be a lie. They didnt even fill up the damn tank when I left, after giving them a full check for the car. Laughable. Oh and the car wasnt washed because they said they didnt have water at the time due to extreme cold, but they "promised" a detail when the weather warmed.

The employees here were extremely helpful, until I actually bought my car. Of course, THE SECOND I drove off the lot with my new car, they didnt even pretend to care about me as a human, a customer, or anything. I had an issue early on with not receiving my registration in the mail like they said I would. I tried over and over and over for a week to get them just ON THE PHONE to get me the documents I needed for my car. No answer, ever. So, I went there and actually waited in the accounting office until someone would help me. It was not convenient to me, as I actually lived 45 min away and work full-time like most people. Then, a year later I called them and asked a favor. (My car was broken in to and everything from my glove box was gone) I asked a woman in accounting, who answered right away, if she wouldnt mind please faxing a copy of my Bill of Sale to the fax number I provided. I informed her that I was at the DMV trying to get my car registered to the new state I moved to and I needed it. She said she would get to it as soon as she could. An hour went by, so I called again, and again, and again. No answer. So then I call the sales desk (of course theyll answer because they want to sell). He then transferred me to the manager, again I was extremely polite, and as was he. I explained to him the document the clerk said I need. He informed me that he would call me back as soon as possible. Another hour passes and no call. I then called the accounting office again, (I have now been patiently waiting for over 2 hours at the county clerk office of all places) a woman answers the phone. I said "Hi I called about 2 hours ago inquiring about a bill of sale. Are you who I spoke with?" She said, "Um no and she left for the day. Let me explain to you exactly how this works......" And she gave me a speach on how I cant expect them to have my bill of sale easily accessible from a year ago. Okay so I get it that it may not be on your desk on your keyboard, but its in a file, right? It has been over 2 hours. How long could it possibly take? On top of that, the woman who was supposed to be helping me, just left without even finding my file, or assigning someone else to do so. I have never been so mistreated by customer service in my life. As someone who has worked in customer service for about 10 years, Im seriously outraged how this company would hire such hostile individuals.
