The process for getting a price was fast. Easy people to deal with. Process of actually getting paid was more cumbersome and I didnt appreciate it. When they give you a check its still takes 4 to 5 days to get a confirmation number that you put on the back of the check. So they have your vehicle for a full 45 days before any cash gets in your hands. Beyond that the bank put an additional four day hold on the check. So I am now at 8 to 9 days out with the car gone and I still dont have cash. I understand their business model is to take the car, give you a check but you dont get to cash it until theyve already sold the car and receive their money. Good for them but not optimal for the seller. Would are use them again ? Maybe. If I needed the car gone now and I was willing to wait 9 to 10 days for my money I probably would. If I need cash faster I would just discount and sell on the open market.

Stop here first before you consider CARMAX. Based on past experience with CARMAX, I received a better and more realistic value/cost for my vehicle, much quicker service and less waiting time for an assessment of my vehicle. I highly recommend Cash Money Cars if you are interested in a good and fair value for your vehicle.
