I ordered a washer and dryer online. The delivery was a half hour earlier than the 2 hour window given. They didnt have the stackable kit which I was never told or asked online when I ordered if I needed it. I called the customer service number, and got a call center in the Philippines. I asked if I could buy the stackable kit at the South Portland location and do it myself. The rep said yes, it was there. I drove there and it wasnt in stock. I had to schedule another install and the night before I was told it would be installed between 9:45 - 11:45. At 11:15 I saw that I had a voicemail message (I have a condo in an old brick mill and sometimes calls go straight to voicemail). I called the number given in the first message and got a message saying "the subscribers mailbox is full. Goodbye." That was the delivery drivers cell phone. I called the other number given in a voicemail message left by dispatch and no one answered, it went to voicemail, and I left a message. I called the call center and was told that Id have to reschedule for another day. I tried the dispatch number and the drive for over an hour before someone in dispatch answered. She said that no one answered so, they left. They NEVER rang my buzzer. I took 3 hours off from work and they left and didnt answer either phone number I was given. I had to reschedule for the next day. I tried to call the South Portland store. It rang 10 times before someone answered, transferred me, and hung up I called back and no one answered. The washer and dryer got great reviews and I bought them when they were nearly half off, but their customer service is atrocious. I thought Time Warner Cable was bad, but they have them beat. Its no wonder they had to close stores. A business couldnt and shouldnt survive with poor service like Ive experienced.

I struggled with even selecting 1 star but I had not choice! This has been the worst (explicate) transaction I have ever had with any biz! Ok...here we go! Purchased a washer/dry (w/kits) and a queen/2 twins and box springs for all mattresses. 3 days I get an automated call saying the delivery is delayed. Called the # they gave me and they said nothing is delayed everything will be there on time. Next day I get another automated call saying the delivery is delayed. Again called the number provided and again there was nothing wrong with the delay. I get a call the day of the delivery from a live person and the mattresses are delayed. Blew my phone with every single friggin text I got about the order to view and verify where your package was lead me to their website with an apology saying they couldnt find the order (even with the stuff that was on time). The installers of the washer/dryer were jerks, they didnt bring my dryer kit (power cord/vent) didnt hook up the dryer (bc of a gas line which i get) ripped the old vent in half trying to get it off and took off. I called the store the next day and some woman took my message and promised me that someone would call me back, that didnt happen. So...mattresses rescheduled for the following Wednesday and you guessed it, I get a call saying the order has been delayed! ...this was today so there will be more to follow!

I went sears at Maine Mall South Portland, Maine to buy a snowblower, I got there at 4:35pm. A salesperson was checking me out and he called the warehouse to let them know I would be right over to pick it up. The warehouse employee stated that if I was not there in 6 minutes he would be gone. He only works til 5:00. The salesperson tried to explain I was coming right over. The warehouse is just across the parking lot, The warehouse employee then hung up on the salesperson, So I cancelled the sale because of EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My wife has always purchased all our appliances at Sears but as of now we will go somewhere else ...to a store that wants to provide better service to the customers. We are in the process of getting a new washer and dryer but I feel we will be treated better at Lowes or Home Depot. You should look into the employee at that location and let him know this is why companies go out of business, WORD OF MOUTH!!!!

I just bought 4 tires from Sears. One month later, my rear brakes are grinding, I buy pads. Go to take the rear drive wheel off, Sears mechanic has wound one lug nuts on with an impact wrench so tight I have to use a 3 ton floor jack under the 4 way to break it loose. After the lug nuts are off the wheel has pressed onto the hub and I cannot get it off. I do my own car work. I worked at Firestone. This was a deliberate act by an evil mechanic. This is exactly why mechanics cannot be trusted. I will be going to Sears in the morning to discuss this matter and have the wheel removed from the hub. I am anxious to see how they do it and will consider legal action if they do additional damage. All my tools are Craftsman but this is a deal breaker, I wont buy from Sears again. Tomorrow will be the last time they ever touch a car of mine. This is a dishonest garage, go somewhere else.

Do not purchase a ring or any jewelry from this store. We bought a $1,300dollar ring from them a couple months back. After having it for 6months we went to buy another one in a more reputable jewelry store and for the heck of it got ours appraised. It wasnt worth any more than $50!! We called Sears and told them this and went round and round and round with them. We asked for the manager to call us as we were getting know where with the employee in jewelry who sold us the ring. We were ripped off!! And had the appraisal papers to prove it. They didnt want to hear it and the manager never called us back. Never again will we shop there for anything!!

Bought two new Kenmore appliances--a refrigerator and a dishwasher. Both broke down in 6 months. Called Sears Service and its been three visits to fix the dishwasher--still not working. Sears tech ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator and told me to call up when they arrived to have someone come out and pop them in. Supervisor Jennifer hung up on me when I asked her to contact the tech who said he could come out (and I gave her his number). Nice customer service, great machines.

By far the WORST costumer service Ive ever encountered. We would have filed a complaint about the woman employee who ruined our whole day, if the store manager that was on wasnt equally as rude to the kind gentleman who originally was helping us. To a company that we swear by their products for all of our appliances, landscaping machinery, and many other miscellaneous items.. And after spending over $400 on this particular days purchase, it left us feeling sick to our stomachs.
