I have had enough of All Star Dodge. I purchased my Dodge truck several years ago, after the salesman encouraged me to buy locally in the area instead of going to Baton Rouge. I even paid a higher price than offered at another dealership, thinking I would establish a service relationship closer to home. Problems began with the Air Conditioner within a couple of months of the purchase. I had to drop my truck off, and leave it for 2 days. Warranty and parts recalls covered the service. When I picked up my truck, I drove it away. 10 miles later on the Interstate, my truck over heated and steam was going everywhere. I was on the roadside calling All Star for help. Even though the dealership caused the problem, they refused to send anyone for service or call me a wrecker. After trying to get them to help me, I ended up calling a wrecker and paid for it. The Service Manager refused to pay for it or accept responsibility for the tow. The problem ended up being that a mechanic didnt reconnect some hoses and most of the coolant had drained, causing the overheating. I demanded to speak to someone in charge, but was told no one else could help me. I paid 70 bucks for the wrecker and was told they would give me a free oil change. WHAT? The truck was 3 months old. On another occassion, I had some repairs done to the truck and a dime sized dent was made in my dash boad above the glove box. I noticed it on my way home from the shop, and brought it to the attention of a Service manager. Again, run around, blame game, no responsibility. On a third occassion, against my better judgement, I took the truck in for more problems with the A/C. My warranty was nearly up, but I knew Dodge had been having many problems with the A/C units. 3 friends that had the same trucks and same problems and internet searches showed I was not alone. I took the truck in and had the A/C "REPAIRED" at my expense. Even though I expected Dodge to take some responsibility, I ended up paying over 1200 dollars to have the A/C repaired. Propblems were over... I thought. Less than a week later, I was having the same problems again with the A/C. I brought the truck back to have it corrected. Instead, I waited 3 hours and the smart aleck Service Manager who I had dealt with before, told me they found another problem with some other parts and it would cost me another 400-500 dollars to fix the problem. I told them "No it will not. Give me my truck". I am now having to find someone else to do the work. In the future, I may purchase another Dodge truck, I am generally satisfied with my truck, except fot the Air Conditioner. Still gives me problems. But that new truck will NEVER be purchased from All Star Dodge or any All Star dealership. If I have to go out of town to buy I will.

I purchased a car from here a few weeks after the flooding in Baton Rouge. It was very busy there, and I am not taking away stars for that. I gave 3 out of 5 stars for the reasons below. Overall experience: We had gone to All Star a day before to check out a new car. We test drove it and then went in and talked numbers. They were not pushy about selling it. We left without making any commitments. We went back the next day to purchase and were able to get a little more additional money off from the car (which was nice since it was brand new). Overall, the initial test drive day we spent about an hour at the dealership, on the day we purchased we spent about 3.5-4 hrs at the dealership. Positives: Everyone at the dealership was very attentive to me. The dealership gave me a great trade-in on my old car (this was seriously a good trade-in). The finance manager (guy who does all of the paperwork) was excellent. They also gave me a full tank of gas (always nice). They also have a nice seating area for waiting. Negatives: 1) I bought the car with my wife and it really seemed like that since she was not the one "buying" the vehicle (she actually was, since she makes more than me!), they did not accord her a great deal of respect. We are talking every question getting directed to me, everybody (except the finance guy) looking only at me when speaking, etc. 2) We were charged for an inspection but did not get an inspection because the machine to print stickers had gone underwater. We did not realize the car did not have an inspection sticker until we were about half way home from the dealership. Someone should have told us about this. 3) The car detailing service here is AWFUL. They could not detail the car when we bought it - it was a busy weekend - so they gave us a coupon to come back. This sounds nice of them and it was, but when I took the car back for the detail on a non-busy day, it took over 3 hours to detail and they literally just washed the exterior. The interior still had dirt on the carpets, no interior windows were cleaned, etc. It was literally just a 3 hr car wash.

I have never in my life felt more cheated and more disappointed than what happened to me yesterday. To start off i bought this truck back in December, 2 weeks later its in the shop already w a roof leak which took 3 attempts until they actually found the problem. one month later my a/c goes out apparently it was at the time a recall issue to which i find out now because this go around it was on my dime a evap coil issue causing the problem all along. HOW AMAZINGLY IS THAT. So in turn you guys think for one minute im gonna stand by and let you charge me 400.00 for a part that i can go get right down the road from you for 70.00. the to top everything off your wanting to charge me 800.00 for a 30 min to an hour job. You must think i have SUCKER written on my face i have you know im very mechanically inclined and what your tech is telling you isnt exactly the truth. the truth of the matter is he knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle the first go around back in Feb but because it was gonna be on yalls dime you all refused to fix it therefore making an excuse that the recall was my entire problem. You guys better change your ways im done with All Star Dodge in Den Springs. Its really a sad thing if you all dont remember anything else remember this statement. It takes a lifetime of hard honest work to keep a loyal customer; but the flip side is " IT ONLY TAKES A HALF OF A SEC TO LOSE ONE" and having spoke my peace i bid you my farewell and to add one more thing im reporting my situation to the bbb

Took my 2015 Dodge Charger Rallye for a recall and because my fuel system was acting up I though it was going take a day and I was going get a rental at first they didnt want to put me in a rental I had to call and call until finally they put me in a rental for two days. So I over look that when I came to get my car which I have a warranty on the cashier said I owed 25.00 dollars I didnt have a problem with that but it was something they did that I didnt ask for I just had two weeks ago went and had my oil change and tires rotated why would I wont my tires rotated again when I said I didnt ask for that they had very bad attitude and told me that didnt want my business there anymore so when I talk to the General Manager there named Rick he said to me its three sides to a story no kind of good customer service skill he need to be fired and replaced he told me he has sons and they lie so boys will be boys Im black so calling me a boy is already out the box but comparing my situation to his kids was very outrageous. So to customers they are only good when you are purchasing when its time to service they are very horrible with attitudes and be careful what you tell them to do because they act like they dont have good comprehension skills because they will do the opposite thing and said they heard you said and everyone in the service area would say they heard it Im no longer going with them I will be taking my business else where.
