Arrived at Honda of Covington and was met by Salesperson Ryan Ahrens. My wife indicated that she was looking for a Gray 2014 Honda Pilot w/ Navigation. We drove the vehicle and indicated we would be in touch. Began pricing and Trade-In dialogue w/ Ryan until we came to an agreement. Ryan insisted we come to the dealership and finalize the deal..Insuring there would be no hassle or surprises. Arrived at dealership to begin the purchase process. The invoice presented to us offered $1,700 less than the negotiated price. I complained and threatened to leave...they apologized and changed the offer to add the additional $1,700. I then asked to see the vehicle. They presented me with a Black Honda Pilot. I told them we had never discussed nor wanted a Black Pilot and that Gray was what we drove and desired. They said the Gray 2014 had been sold but that we could buy a 2015 Gray Pilot for much more money. I refused their deal and left the dealership. I emailed the Owner and General Manager of the dealership, Laurie McCants, to inform her of the Bait and Switch tactics. Given her response, it is obvious to me that the shady sales tactics originate with her and her management team. Its all about selling new cars regardless of what it takes! If this is how the Sales Teams conducts business, I can only imagine the peril that awaits from the warranty and service department!

Love Hondas - bought my 3rd one there in May of 2011. Bluetooth was not std yet so I asked for that be installed. They did. They "have a guy" named Andrew Miller. They make an appt with him & he goes to the dealership & installs. Fine. A few mos down the bluetooth craps out. Stops working. I call the dealership idk how many times & they just give me the guys phone #. I have to call the guy now. MONTHS later I finally get the guy. I had to get HOC involved again.... Guy comes to my house & replaces the entire system. Great. A few mos later it craps out AGAIN! I think " screw this. Not jumping thru those hoops again." Idk a yr later, the bluetooth is now interfering with the radio. It will randomly chirp & the radio goes out. Will not come back on. Ive been calling either Andrew or Honda at least once a week for the past month. My bluetooth isnt working. It randomly messes w my radio & no one will return my calls. Prob never buy there again & seriously considering driving to Slidell to have my car serviced from now on. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. calling better business bureau

I was recently looking to buy a used Honda pilot and we in contact with the used sales manager, Daniel Green, for over a week. Went in and test drove the pilot and got the first round of numbers where they attempted to raise the price saying it was certified, when it wasnt advertised as one. Refused to go down on the asking price saying they dont mark up their used cars and offered me a crazy low price on my trade a Honda Accord that I only get serviced at this dealership. I left thinking I would be contacted to offer a lower price, but I had to contact the sales manager who just wanted me back at the dealership. I provided an offer to which I did not get a response. I checked their site a couple of days later and they dropped the asking price of the vehicle by $1,000. I was very frustrated, dealing with them for over a week and they refused to adjust the price and lower the asking price workout contacting me. Its like they dont want to sell cars.

Best customer service, excellent dealership Got best trade in value for my 2009 Honda Pilot better trade in value than any other dealership was willing to offer me by far. The general sales manager was nice enough to come and speak with me during the negotiations, he gave me a great price that was what I needed, it made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire buying process especially being a woman who has had bad experiences in the past. The whole process at Honda of Covington was pain free and easy going, and stress free. The salesman was very funny he kept me entertained while teaching me the features of the new 2014 Honda Pilot, which I was purchasing. While my car was being detailed he was nice enough to take me to the service department to introduce me to the service manager who would be caring for my new vehicle throughout future oil changes and services. This was the perfect car buying experience I couldn’t have asked for more.

I was quoted a price on the phone to run the diagnostics to see what the problem was with my air conditioner when I got there for the service they tried charging me more. When I asked about the price difference they did honor the phone price. So I decided to go ahead with the work. I also let them know I had a service coupon of 15% off of any service. When I picked up my car and paid the bill the service person went over the bill so fast it was very confusing. After I got home I realized they did not give me the whole 15% off. I called and once again the service person did not want to listen and tried speeding through the explanation of charges. When he realized I wasnt giving up on this he finally admitted that it was not done correctly. As of now they are suppose to credit me back the difference. This left me feeling like Im dealing with a dishonest business I think Ill take my business elsewhere next time.

I went in today to look for a car for my daughter. After TJ showed me a car, I said I didnt like it because it had obvious front end damage. He said he would go see if he had any other used cars in my price range and instead he came back with the carfax. I told him I was not interested in that car while he argued with me about damage. Then he brought me back inside to get me the number of their lot in Hammond. He went into this office right next to where I was seated, and he and his manager and proceed to talk about me. The walls did not even go all the way to ceiling. They said I didnt know what I was talking about and was probably just high maintenance. When he came out I told TJ next time they wanted to talk about a potential customer, they may want to wait until the person leaves or go into an office that does not have glass walls. Not someone or somewhere I will EVER do business with!

Disrespectful personnel, quick and pushy to try and rob trade-in true value. Their original trade in offer increased $5000 and $1000 off sticker during negotiating process. Should we apologize that we didnt want to place a $6,000 mark up into the salesmans pocket? They became very angry after this and it became apparent they wanted us to leave. We were trading in two vehicles. Highly unpleasant thieves with no heart. It burdens me that they are able to take advantage of personel with less knowledge of the car sales profession. Truly unfortunate. Management had to tell sales personel to go out to customers in the lot while we were shopping around. Maybe they didnt want to come out in the light drizzle, or perhaps they werent interested in selling cars? We gave two stars because they did take up 6 hours of our time as well as theirs.
