The initial experience was 5 star quality, but as time passed the true practices show. Do not let them sell you on a car by pulling out their app showing you what they "paid" and how much they are already "losing" on the vehicle. I bet youve heard, "I want to help you, you seem like good people." Then youll probably hear, "If you have any problems with this car just let me know and Ill do what I can to help you out and make it right." Well...if something goes wrong and you opted out of a warranty (this statement is referencing preexisting conditions -- not normal wear and tear) youll hear, "The only way I can help you is if you bought a warranty. Let me make it very clear Im not going to pay for ___fill in the blank with your problem___." The reason for the two stars is the fact that Dan lied on two major points. 1) He assured me that the vehicle has been inspected by his mechanics to check that it is in proper working order. One of the electric outlets in the vehicle doesnt work at all (provides no power output). The water pump (the one for the engine, its a hybrid) had a busted bearing that required it to be replaced. The mechanics that replaced it told me that based on how it looked when they took it apart, its been like that for quite some time, and that it shouldve been an easy catch during a routine inspection. 2) Dan also assured me that any maintenance procedure(s) recommended by the manufacturer based on the mileage of the vehicle have been performed on the vehicle. Again, after having the car worked on it was apparent that the vehicle did not have any recent maintenance fitting that description performed. If you buy from this dealer do not take anything verbally, get it in writing -- no matter how genuine and sincere they come across. Also, bring your own mechanic and have them thoroughly inspect the vehicle for you -- again regardless of how genuine and sincere they come across.

On August 20, 2009 I took my 2004 Suzuki Aerio to Shepherd Suzuki in Richmond to determine the cause of the check engine light being on. I was seeking a new place to have my Suzuki worked on since Green’s in Lexington no longer sells the Suzuki line and settled on Shepherd Suzuki. I informed their service department of the past problems with the Oxygen Sensor causing the check engine light to come on. In the history of the car this problem has occurred 3 times and the light had to be reset. After my research online I already suspect the O2 sensor as being the problem. I was informed that my front catalytic converter needed to be replaced at and estimate of $885.93 plus tax meaning I would be out over $900. I have to say I was shocked and doubtful immediately of this diagnosis due to the previous oxygen senor issues On August 26, 2009 I went to Select Suzuki in Frankfort, KY. I explained the history of the car to them and in no time they determined that yes, it was the oxygen sensor. They were very much aware that the Aerio models are having the downstream O2 Sensor being soaked with oil at oil changes if a shop towel is not placed over the sensor during the change. A good shop/technician knows that will ruin the part. Thanks to Select Suzuki in Frankfort my car is running great and I only had to spend $248. I am a customer for life there now and will recommend everyone with a Suzuki to use their shop for repairs.

Upon arriving at Select Auto, I was thrilled to see the SUV that captured my attention on their website looked even sweeter in person. This Black 2013 Nissan Murano beauty was clean as a whistle inside and out. My husband and I were handed the keys and took her for a spin. I honestly could not tell at all that I was not in a brand new car because it drove so smoothly and had all the features we were looking for like Bluetooth, rear view back up camera, GPS and an awesome panorama moonroof. The decision to move forward with our purchase was an easy one, but the catch was, I was not going to "give away" my other pride and joy I drove onto the lot with, my 2012 Toyota camry, also.previously purchased at select auto. I had done all my background work and knew what the Kelley Blue book was on it and was not about to take a dollar less. When the purchase order was written up, I was very pleased with an offer for my vehicle that was $1500 over the figure I wanted in my head. It was a no Brainer! We were going to be proud owners of a new to us SUV! Chvonne made sure we got the best interest rate and the deal was signed, sealed and delivered within a little over an hour. We will ONLY refer all of our family and friends to Select Auto in Frankfort, despite living in the surrounding Louisville area. Thank you Bevington family for another great vehicle! Now the only quarrel is who gets to drive it every day, my husband or me!

My Wife and I drove from Louisville to Frankfort today to buy a car from Select Auto. It was an excellent experience, and they were super nice to the family. After spending a week or so scouring Autotrader for a Lambda Platform (Traverse/Acadia/Outlook/Enclave/SRX) vehicle we couldnt find any within our price range with the options we wanted. We broadened our search and found Select Auto Sales. They had 6 of the trucks we were looking for in various price ranges, and options. After some discussion and test driving we settled on a nice 2010 Traverse, and promptly traded our 2012 Focus for it. They gave us a fair amount for our trade, and thier truck was priced fairly so little negotiation was needed. Ive totally forgotten the name of the finance lady that helped us, but she was super easy to work with, and very tolerant of our lively little boy. Our salesperson was Becky who was knowledgable about the truck, and very pleasant to work with. She was super nice with our 2.5yr old little boy that was somewhat of a handful while we were there. Select even threw in our first oil change, and gave us some fuel to make sure we made it home without another stop. We were gone about 4hrs from door to door, and that includes about 1.5hrs of driving (45min each way from home). I highly recommend Select. They treated us great, and we got a very fair deal. Best dealership experience Ive had to date!

My experience at Select Auto Sales was like visiting a full service gas station. It is so rare to go somewhere and receive genuine high quality service. Auto Select goes above and beyond what other car lots will do - it was like stepping back in time... to pre-Wal-mart profit driven business models. Select auto has a nice, warm, personal environment. It is truly a family business. Their goal was to help us find a good car that was in our budget. There was no up-selling, pressure, waiting while some mysterious guy in the back works out a price (like every other car lot... it was straight forward and easy. The price you see online, is what they are asking. I have since told anyone that I know looking for a car to take a look at Select Auto. I was helping my mother purchase a new car and we had a great experience. We worked with Dan (the owner) who stayed with us after hours, was patient, and had a refreshing no pressure attitude. We were able to find a nice car with very low miles (15k) at a great price. If you are looking for a slightly used, low mileage car, give Select Auto a chance. I had passed the car lot countless times and always went to Honda or Toyota in Frankfort - I am glad that my mother and I gave them a chance. It will be our first stop from now on.
