Our sales representative, Ricardo, was/is amazing. I LOVE working with him. Unfortunately, not so much with the financial manager. We made the mistake of going in when our representative was not there to compare a car Swope had with the same year, make, and model of another car located 1.5 hours away. Not only did the manager refuse to fluctuate in price, but - the biggest issue - he never once tried to sit and explain where the price difference came from. Instead, he first tried to tell us it was not the same car (which, it turns out, it was), pressed the fact that they inspect their cars thoroughly (not a good enough, thorough reason for the higher price), and then compared us to customers who nickel and dime dealerships (the ones that drive to different states for $100 off). A $2500+ price difference with only a 1.5hr drive away is not considered nickel-ing and dime-ing to most people. I work hard for my money. Belittling a customer and their budget without taking the time help them understand the price difference (like local trade versus auction, one owner/no accidents versus fleet/no accidents, how recent the trade is, etc.) is more than condescending - its insulting to our intelligence. Like most car shoppers, my husband and I dont understand why prices are set where theyre at. Had the financial manager explained to us what was explained in the response to my husbands review below and had he taken the time to help us understand, we probably wouldnt have left so upset.

I really wanted to give this a great review because our sales person was great. He was newer but courteous, relaxed, friendly and helpful. The Finance Manager ruined the sale. We went there wanting to see if Swope could match the price for the exact same car in Lexington. About 30 minutes into the conversation, with the Manager, we realized we were wasting our time. Not only would he not even attempt to close a $2700 price difference between a Corolla in Lexington and the same Make, Model and Year in his inventory, he also tried to up-sale us on a worse deal. When we continued to attempt to negotiate we were told condescendingly "Youre not looking for a good deal youre looking for a great deal." Apparently customers wanting a great, brag worthy deal was a foreign concept to him. Without going into anymore play-by-play I will summarize by saying my wife and I left feeling belittled and angered. Needless to say we drove 90 minutes one way and saved almost $3000. If youre wondering we went to Strong Auto and it was worth the drive. Darius was fantastic and his Finance Manager was so great.

The service department is not qualified to diagnose problems, they seem to only be interested in over selling. Case 1: back wiper and window would stop working from time to time. I paid $40 to be told the motor unit would need to be replaced at a cost of $400. When the part arrived, I went in for the work to be done only to be told they made a mistake in the estimate so it was actually $800! I left without the repair. My husband looked up the problem on the Internet and found the window-wiper problem was common with my vehicle. He took the panel off, made an adjustment, and it has worked fine since then...at NO cost. Case 2: We took my sequoia back in because the wheel bearings or half-shaft was making a noise. They diagnosed the vehicle as having bad tires. They quoted us $800 for new tires to "see if that fixes the problem". The technician did NOT look underneath the car or even attempt to check what we brought the vehicle in there for. He drove it around the block. Period. And, charged me $40. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! I will NEVER go back.

I drove in from Texas and began having what appeared to be transmission issues with my 08 Sentra. I brought it in on the next available day, and the code returned was the transmission. Luckily, there was an extended warranty I was covered by. They immediately put me in a loaner vehicle for the duration of my service. I picked my vehicle up and started hearing a slight knocking noise. I ignored it initially but realized with a drive coming up back to Texas, I dont want any issues. I brought it back to them with about 15-20m left before they closed. I explained my situation to the service rep at the first desk, and instead of telling me its too late we are closing, he grabbed a mechanic, who brought it in the back and began troubleshooting it. It was a minor issue and was immediately fixed. I would have gave a 5 star rating, but I had to come back to them for that issue and because they close at 530pm.

I was searching got Nissan Leaf and came across Swope Nissan having a great vehicle and transferred to Evan Boles for assistance. Evan is extremely knowledgeable about Nissan Leaf, Versa, Pathfinder, Altima, Maxima, GTR, and many models. He even gave me his cell phone # to contact him. He worked systematically with Sales Manager Mr. Barkman to save me thousands of dollars on the new Leaf purchase and Finance Manager, Tayler to get the paperwork done very efficiently. One day, he was sick and took day off and even on that he took the phone calls coming and tried to help the customers. I work with lots of car dealerships, and I would recommend Evan Boles any time you are shopping for new Nissan models in Elizabethtown, Louisville, KY or northern Tennessee or even Ohio. PS: Evan, thank you for taking time to help me even after selling the car.

Most awful experience of my life. I was rushed into picking a vehicle then charged 1100 for something called cilajet thats supposed to help your interior from being ruined and stained. Two days after I got the vehicle home mind you my interior is grey/black it looks like someone took baby powder and rubbed it all over my car. I took the car back told them what happened they proceeded to tell me it wasnt because of the cilajet but the oil in my skin causing it and just offered me some shampoo they have thats 100 dollars. Now Im stuck paying for over 400 a month for a car that Im embaressed to drive and looks like crap. This was a new car by the way so no need for all of this to happen never again will i return here for anything. I work very hard for my money and got treated very poorly in return

I was recently in the market for a vehicle as mine was on its last legs. After searching several dealerships I bought a Toyota Solara from Greg Peel at Swope Toyota. Everybody was very nice and I had a great experience at the dealership. I felt as if there were no high pressure sales tactics to try to get me to buy the car right that instant. I test drove the vehicle and I knew that it was going to be mine. Greg helped me get with my application for financing and Mary got me approved through Toyota Finance. I was a first time buyer so this was something I was worried about. After all of the paperwork was completed, Greg even made sure that I had a full tank of gas for my trip home. I would recommend the Swope dealerships to anybody looking for a great deal.
