Was reviewing used cars at Swope Toyota on my phone while waiting for the "best deal" on a vehicle from another dealer. Saw that they had a 2013 Highlander just listed. After excusing myself from the other dealership, I drove down the street to Swope Toyota. Was met almost Immediately by Chuck McIntyre as we got out of our vehicle. When I inquired about the highlander he took me right to it and explained that it had just come in as a local trade and had not been detailed yet. It was very dirty, but put it through a road test and all other tire kicking. Except for the cosmetics it was great. Chuck gave me an even better price to take it as is. Was impressed enough that I told Chuck that I would like to show vehicle to my wife the next day. Chuck set us up a time when he would be free even though it was the 4th of July. When we arrived he met us and let us take it for another test drive which proved good also. We decided to purchase and started paperwork. Being the 4th of course the banks were closed so they said they could have it ready for us the following day. Mary in the finance office was very nice and told me what to fax her so she could have all the paperwork ready for us. The next day we arrived to find the Highlander parked by the front door, and to our surprise the vehicle had been washed inside and out, not by the detailer but by our salesman Chuck! He had also had the shop do some minor cosmetic repair on some loose molding. Our paperwork was done, but there was another person in with financing when we arrived so Chuck offered us drinks and sat and talked with us until Mary was free. I have sat in car dealerships for sometimes an hour doing paperwork to buy a vehicle, but true to her work Mary had the paperwork ready and as soon as the other customer was finished we took about 5 minutes to finish! It is my belief that Swope Toyota and Chuck are the best dealership and salesman that I have dealt with ever and would recommend both to anyone purchasing a vehicle. Thank you Swope Toyota I love my highlander.

I am writing this letter on behalf of Herman Smith and Swope Toyota. It was my great pleasure to purchase my 2nd car through Swope Toyota this last summer. What made this purchase rewarding was the manner in which Herman took care me despite things out of his control. I had planned on purchasing the Highlander around March/April 2014 so that I could turn in my other leased car (Lexus RX 450h) while simultaneously picking up the new Highlander. Unfortunately the Highlander took much longer than originally expected to come in after placing the down payment for its order in March. While we had hoped the Highlander would show in time to swap out the cars (lease was up in June 2014), it did not end up arriving til mid July. Herman didn’t hesitate to come up with a solution. Immediately he arranged for us to use a loaner car in the interim which proved to be crucial to finishing the purchase due to a family situation which a smaller care might not have been able to solve. Herman kept in touch with me every week with updates on the latest info regarding the Highlander. By time the car had come in, I had already began a temporary move to Ohio. Although I had commuted back and forth between Ohio and KY, Herman personally delivered the car to me in Ohio so that I had to make one less trip between KY and Ohio. This allowed me to spend an extra day with my family and 4 week old boy at that point. I will never regret how well Herman and Swope Toyota treated us. I hope to return soon and purchase a car for my parents in the next 1 or 2 years, and when I do, I will make sure to do so through Herman again! I cannot say enough great things about his soft-spokenness, endearing personality, honesty in delivering difficult news, tact, and desire to sell a car while taking care of the buyer at the same time. He is an invaluable asset to Swope and I thank you for letting him assist me in the purchase of our 2014 Highlander Hybrid.

I had a very bad car buying experience about 3 days prior to contacting Sam Swope. Buying a car is at best for me, traumatic lol. Herman Smith answered the phone and basically took it all over. He began helping me trade in my car without me ever needing to step into the office (its an hour drive for me) I scanned in the paperwork from the other dealer and stayed in touch via email and texts. I didnt actually go there until I was ready to test drive the cars. I was there ALL day, because I wanted to find the perfect one and he wanted me to be perfectly a satisfied. I know he missed out on a lot of sales that day, but never did I feel I was an inconvenience. I didnt even get to find my car that day, as a matter of fact. There was still work to be done with the banks, and finding a nicer newer car with a payment in the range that I requested. He continued to keep me updated and stay in touch. When I finally was able to find the vehicle, he drove it to me himself, brought my paperwork and drove my trade in back. He went above and beyond, in my opinion, his job duties. I dont usually write reviews but couldnt NOT because I do in fact read them when deciding where to shop or purchase things and wanted people to know THIS is the place to go!!

On a recent trip to Florida our 2011 Sienna minivan started making a slight noise. On the return trip back the noise became more and more evident. I had to make a stop at a mechanic to make sure we could make it. I was informed it was a water pump and that it was a much larger job for our model than he could perform and he recommended calling our dealer. I did just that. I went in and spoke with Lisa Goforth. She was very helpful and understanding what a stressful situation it had become and could further be. Our van was about to be out of warranty and we were not able to immediately bring it in for service. She took care of it for me. Upon bringing our van in it was promptly repaired and serviced. Scott Combs helped me when I picked our van up and was very friendly. He explained everything the van needed and had receive and our van was returned to us all repaired under warranty. My wife was super pleased. Each service experience has been impeccable. This is great because I have usually avoided service at dealers no my opinion has been changed. Thank you for great service.

This was the easiest car purchase ever. I called and spoke with Jeremy Harris about a TRD pro, I asked what was the price as most dealer add all sorts of crazy $500 floor mats or $400 window tint here in Houston. He laughs a bit and did it was just the sticker price plus the doc fees. I did not believe him so he send me pics of the window stick with options and pics of the 4 runner. Did all the financing there over the phone / web. Also got a better rate than my credit union that I have been a member with for over 10 years. I live in Houston Texas and flew in to Kentucky where Jeremy Harris pick me up at the airport himself and drove me to the dealership. When I got there he had already made sure all my paper work was ready and I literally walked In the main door and right into the finance office and back out in 10 min. The 4 runner was pulled up in the front ready to go,Jeremy had already set my home address in the GPS and filled it up. He set up my phone and went over some stuff and I was on the road back to Houston. AWESOME service and experience.
