a few weeks ago my mother bought a mattress from VCF in greenwood, however it was delivered by the Plainfield store. the delivery crew managed to knock over a utility line that ran into my mothers house. they proceeded to do the delivery over the downed cable, they made it seem like it was her problem to deal with and left with soliton to remedy it. when I found out, I called to get an explanation. i was blown off and not called back, until I was stern told them there was a downed utility line and that my mother was afraid to drive over it. the delvery manager I finally spoke to said he wasnt aware of any damage done to the property, but would take care of the situation. someone was finally out at 10pm that night to take care of it. the next day the nextdoor neighbor discovered that his internet was out due to the same line being damaged. I called back to try to get him some help on the issue from VCF and never heard back. I also called the 1-800 number, spoke to customer service and was told a manager would call me back in 48 hours, which didnt happen. it took 6 days for the neighbor to get his internet back. this is completely unacceptable, damaging a customers property, not reporting it to a manger, and management not fully remedating the situation. if nothing else the neighbor needs some sort of composition as he came out with the worst of it. Value City NO THANKS!

I purchased a living room set from Value City and as soon as it was put together a reclining piece stopped working and a chair was missing. I called VCF to set up an appointment only to find out they cannot schedule specific times. They also told me they would deliver the chair free of charge but I would have to be there and they couldnt give me a time. Needless to say, I picked it up myself. On the day we scheduled (a Monday) I rushed home from work to meet a repairman there. He never showed. They could not schedule until a week later. We were having company over on Saturday so I explained that I needed it done before then but it was to no avail. The second scheduled appointment, I had to have a family member there because they do not schedule specific times. Customer service told me they would call her on the way there but they did not. I received a phone call while at work from the repairman telling me he was at my house. I had to leave work early to meet him. The repairman was very friendly but the recliner broke shortly after. I called, they said theyd need to order a part and it would take 6-8 weeks to come in. I called the first week of January. It is March and I have not heard anything. They told me they dont have an ETA. Maybe some day Ill have a recliner that works?

Terrible delivery department!! Terrible customer service is resolving the issue on management end. I have never seen a business so determined to not make a sale than this company. Set up delivery for over $3500 in furniture, 8am to 10am window. 2 pieces, a recliner and 1/3 of a couch (wtf) already delivered. Managers did nothing to help get the delivery out when we called at noon to find out the delivery status. Canceled the whole order minus the coffee table and a side table. They were able to get a truck here by 1 to pick up previously dropped off pieces and assured us the coffee and side table were on the way. Its nearly 4 pm and still nothing. Called and asked to speak to manager and was blatently lied to by staff, kept on hold and told the managers were in a meeting. Piss poor service by any means and they have done nothing to retain any portion of this sale. Our only bright spot was the sales rep that helped us make ohr purchase, she spoke so highly of VCF. I am sorry that she will lose most if not all the commission she would have earned on this sale.

Liked nothing about my experience. Paid 2800 for 3 piece leather combo. When delivered, refused initial delivery due to defects in product. Requested replacement delivery in box and out of box there were still defects in cushion and was noted on delivery receipt. Store in Greenwood IN where I purchased furniture stated Plainfield would take care of repairs. Service came out and stated they would order new upper cushion for love seat and that was the last I heard from them except when they called to tell me about a big sale they had going on. Expressed my concerns about recent purchase and was told that Plainfield would call me. No call from them so now I am talking to my attorney about legal action. Maybe they will return the calls from my attorney. Poor customer service!!!!!!!

This place is an absolute joke. Do yourself a favor and dont buy from them. I bought a $3,000 mattress here, when they delivered it they destroyed the exterior light to my home. First they refered me to their driver manager, he did nothing. Today I found out he doesnt even work their anymore. Then they tried to pawn it off on their repair man, who again did nothing. Ive made atleast 15 phone calls on the matter in two months and they have done absolutely nothing to resolve the problem. Talked to their "manager" Nick in person today and the guy is an absolute squirrel. Went and hid in his office like a small child as I called the corporate office to call in the complaint. The customer service is horrendous. They simply dont care.

Very bad experience/customer service! Ordered a 7 piece bedroom set, was told it would be ready for pickup 2wks after purchase. The two weeks come around no call, I called Oct 28th 2014, 3 days after the pickup date given only to find out my purchase had been ordered to come in the following year March of 2015. The only thing they offered to do was submit a new order which would take 3 more weeks and I asked was that all that could be done and was told yes until I said to please cancel I would take my business elsewhere then I was offered FREE DELIVERY which should have been offered in the very beginning. Order canceled! Value City please take more pride in your customers.

We spent over 1800 with this company. and Our furniture has done nothing but fall apart, we have contacted them numberous of times of fixing our reclining couch and the idiot manager JUSTIN , said that they couldnt do nothing, even though the boards had fell through on our couch and no longer able to use one side of the couch for reclining. I WILL NEVER EVER go back to this VCF, and probably no other one either. I got better service at the VCF in the ghetto then at the trashy location in Plainfield, ran by an immature idiot. VCF should be a shame of their business mostly letting trash run their company.

THIS IS THE WORST FURNITURE STORE YOU WILL EVER VISIT. I WOULD RECOMMEND EVERY CUSTOMER TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. OPERATION MGR NAME STEPHANIE SHOULD BE FIRED. I AM A CUSTOMER AND SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. THE DRIVERS CALLS ME AND I DIDNT ANSWER MY PHONE AND SHE SENDS DRIVERS TO MY HOUSE AND I AM NOT THERE. WHEN I GET HOME I RETURN THERE CALL AND AFTER TALKING TO STEPHANIE SHE SAID YOU NEED TO PICK UP YOUR PHONE AND WAS VERY RUDE. THIRD CLASS SERVICE I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR A WHILE BUT NEVER EVER I OR ANY OF MY FRIENDS BUYING ANYTHING FROM VALUE CITY ANY MORE.
