Edit: Update 2/15/15 Well big shock here...I was promised a call by Kenny (Avon store manager) and did not receive one. So far I have been promised calls by 2 customer service managers, Linda (Avon store), and Kenny (Avon store manager) and have not received it. Kenny assured me on Friday night he would "definitely call me" by the end of Saturday...he did not. Maybe he has the flu. Maybe he lost his phone. Maybe his car wont start. But, more than likely, he failed to call because of the culture of no-follow-through that Ashely seems to promote. I honestly wonder if part of Ashley training is a session on how to consistently let customers down. If anyone reads this from Ashley, could you refund us $500.00 for the huge amount of wasted time you have caused us? SO FOR THOSE RESEARCHING FURNITURE, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHELY. IF MANAGERS OR SUPERVISORS (Kenny, Linda, Customer Service mgrs) PROMISE THEY WILL DO SOMETHING, THEY WILL NOT. Your buying experience will suck. You will be mad. So, buy local or from a store that actually cares. UPDATE 2/13/15 Still no call. No furniture. What has showed up, however, is a deep dislike for the morons running this store. Linda and Kenny at the Avon store did not solve the situation. Talked to Becca...she said someone would call today. I will update with results. Do not buy from Ashley Furniture unless you want to experience complete incompetence by their employees and a lack of concern by the owners and managers. EDIT*** To whoever wrote the response from Ashley. Why would you suggest you guys would call in an effort to make this better? We just called your store and customer service line again...and nothing can be done. No one knows anything. 2 managers, at this point, have told the rep to tell me (the managers themselves were too busy to talk to me) that they would call me back. Still. No. Call. The emergency response number they gave me was 25953. Again...do not buy from this store or any Ashley store. Horrible. ORIGINAL POST: I cannot describe how terrible this place follows through. It has been months past the delivery date provided at the time of purchase. I have wasted HOURS on the phone with their pathetic excuse for customer service. No managers will call back. Finally 5 months after buying (paying in full at time of purchase), they set a delivery time. The day of the delivery I never got a call. I finally called. They had stopped at our house (supposedly) and we werent there. BECAUSE THEY DIDNT CALL BEFORE THEY CAME. They said they would call before delivery and failed to do so. I called customer service again...no one could help. This company sucks. They suck. Save yourself some stress and buy local. Today, we still do not know where our furniture is. No one from this company cares about the customer. I will never buy something from them again. BUYER BEWARE.

My wife and I came here during the Presidents Day sale just browsing, and ended up finding a table we liked. When purchasing, I had them correct all of my information, as I had bought a sofa from the south side store when I lived down there. We were told our delivery would be Tues Feb 24. The next day, I noticed on my receipt that they still had my old address, so I called, and sure enough, it was scheduled to deliver to my old address, even though I stood there at the computer with the employee updating my info. That didnt bother me as much. Come day of delivery, no one showed up during the time frame, and so I called my wife at work to see if she had gotten a call. Nope. So both of us tried calling multiple places, only to be put on hold. After some time, she finally gets through to someone, and we find out our item is on backorder.... A phone call or voicemail would have been nice, but I only had one confirming the delivery. Now we are irritated. We were told someone would get a hold of us to reschedule the delivery. Go figure, we had to end up calling to get that taken care of. They guaranteed everything was in and would be there on Thur March 5. Fine. Then I get a phone call March 4 that one of my chairs is on backorder (wait, wasnt I told everything was in?) so they said they would comp my delivery fee. Still waiting on that to come through. So I told them after they deliver the table, to let me know when the chair is in and I will pick it up myself, as the delivery service has proven their reliability. Table gets delivered while my wife is home, and she discovers a nice dent in the side, and a long scratch on the top. She called yet again to get this issue now taken care of. Said someone would contact us. No one did. She called back again to hash out table replacement and delivery, and no one knew what issue she was talking about. We finally get a new delivery date for the table for Wed Feb 25. Get a call today now saying the replacement table will not be delivered as it is damaged as well. Overall, I wont buy from this place ever again. Even if the product was 90% off. Getting a hold of someone for an issue is a complete joke. Product integrity must not be a high priority, as it is always getting damaged. Getting your delivery on the scheduled date is a crap shoot. This past experience has just caused more headache and frustration that what I would expect from Ashley Furniture.

I literally cannot believe how little Ashley Furniture cares about their customers. If you want furniture, I highly suggest that you go elsewhere. Never has a company lied to me and showed me such disrespect. 3 months ago, my husband and I went to Ashley Furniture wanting to buy all of the furniture we needed for our appartment. We spent hours in the store, and ended up purchasing 2 couches, a coffee table, desk, foyer table, bed, 2 side tables, and a dresser. We are just starting out on our own, and this was no small purchase for us. We were intially very excited about the furniture. Unfortunately, Ashley furniture, the salesman that helped us, and everyone else we have dealt with there lied to us. It started with the salesman. He ensured us that if we paid for delivery, we would be treated to a professional delivery service. I explained to him that we had a 3rd story condo. He told me that it would be absolutely no problem; no matter where I lived or how difficult it was to deliver the furniture, it would be delivered, put together, and the trash hauled away. He assured me that the delivery drivers were professionally and could handle anything. I asked if he was sure, and he said yes. Three months later, and we still do not have our furniture, despite the delivery service coming out 8 times. Each time they come out, they have a different excuse for why our furniture is not in good condition, why they cannot bring the furniture upstairs, or why they cannot put the furniture together. We have talked to numerous managers, only to be told that our purchase does not matter to them because they make so much money anyways. Bottom line: we were told that we would be getting NEW furniture, PROFESSIONALLY delivered and put together, and instead we have REFURBISHED furniture, that they have repeatedly REFUSED to deliver and/or put together. At this point we will be asking for a refund on our furniture as we feel it will never actually be delivered. I am sure they will have no problem with this since they have specifically told us that our money does not matter. I worked in customer service for years, and I was always taught the customer comes first. Apparently this is not the case anymore.
