I went in the mall today to go to the Post office. There were several buckets that were sitting there unattended. There was such a strong order in the air my chest began to hurt and when I reached the P.O the man that was working there was coughing. I told him about the buckets. When I got home I called the mall office but you just get a answering machine. So I picked a number but again a answering machine. So I called emergency security. I got a answering machine. I would have to conclude that the mall is a risk for anyone and their well being if you cant even get security on the phone or anyone else for help. Hope no one walks in with a weapon. Linda

Even though the mall is closed off. But this mall has very high historical sense of value for what it has to offer for the community. Plus the memories of the will never be forgotten. Although, the mall management should make more effort to make this mall an whole again. To restore the city image for what it had in the past.

I liked this mall as its a great indoor place to let my 4 yr old run.The Funflatables place for kids is great as it has 6 bouncey-houses and is only 8 bucks for the whole day. I recently learned the interior of the mall finally closed down but Sears, Carsons and Funflatables are still open with access from the outside.

This was once a great place to hangout and shop. But this has not been the cased for many years now. The best place to go now is the mall in Merrillville IN. The lighthouse mall in Michigan city is way over rated. We live very close the the " lighthouse mall " , its not all that.

Almost all of the stores are closed. The few remaining stores are "sealed" off from the mall meaning that you cannot actually get into the mall. You enter and exit each store by that stores outside entrance. They closed JCPENNEY but Carsons and Sears are still hanging in there.

I brought my six year old son here and he had a terrific time. There are few places in the area that you can allow your children to have fun, get great exercise, and feel that are safe. Thank you for bringing such a great business to the area.

Probably the last time I will come here. Its so deserted that I did not feel safe due to the emptiness of most of the hallways. Oh well, maybe one day they will come in and spruce it up and bring back decent stores and then we all will come!

Tear down the dead mall including an abandoned movie theaters on the Marquette Mall property! Hoping developers to make way for something better like a Kroger Store or Outdoor shopping mall with more retailers and more restaurants, etc.

The outer stores are nice. The remainder of the entire complex needs to be torn down. The owners in California dont seem to care about the community around them. They should sell it or tear the dump down.

Most of the stores are really quiet, not many people shop here anymore. Sears is a great place to buy tools. The structure and parking lot are out dated and should be renovated.

The only thing left in the mall is the U.S. Post Office and a hearing aid store. They have even blocked it off so that you cannot "mall walk" anymore.
