At this point I would say the offerings at this mall are a good start. However, if the mall succeeds long term the owners will need to do more than change the name and add a gazebo and fire pit. I would love to see a Macy’s, Von Maur or Nordstrom. Smaller stores might include Eddie Bauer, Gap, Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market. Finally, while the open concept is apparently the direction these upscale malls are taking - it is not practical here in the Midwest where we experience extreme fluctuations in weather including snow, ice, and very low temps. Covered Malls may be considered old school now but, they remain a very good idea. If you want people to shop there and often, make it safe and easy to get around.

Some typical mall offerings for shopping, but still empty shops. This place could have been amazing in a different location and as a regular enclosed mall. Plainfield is not Carmel and trying to replicate Clay Terrace here is a fail. It is also insanely frustrating that this is our only option for a "mall" on the west side. It is ridiculous that we have to drive 35-40 minutes to shop indoors at the malls on the north side and south side of Indy. The continued large growth on the west side demands better shopping than what is offered at Plainfield "mall".

I try to stay away from here as much as possible. Not very well setup. First it is open air mall which means you walk (shrug) but they have parking and roads between stores which makes walking across streets dangerous since not everybody remembers the right-of-way rule for crosswalks. The stores tend to be pricey. I would rather go to Greenwood (or online preferably) than Perry Shoppes (formerly Metropolis). The one saving grace is the movie theater which is outrageous unless you make the matinee.

Perry Crossing (Formerly Metropolis) is a nice place to have in Plainfield. Its great to have an actual mall you can walk around outside. Theres a variety of stores and restaurants. Its a shame that 99% of the stores are clothing- it could certainly do with some variety. There are a couple of great stores though, like Yankee Candle, Rocket Fizz (candy store) and an olive oil store. Around Christmas the decorations are always wonderful.

Loved the fireplace and cozy seating infront of Orange Leaf. Perfect place to chill, see a movie, happily wonder from shop to shop. Bright colors. Awesome employees in the shops too. Always kind and willing to help. Didnt notice trash all over the place or anything. Tons of parking. Nice views of the sky if you walk around the outskirts. Perfect place to walk the pups too. Well, I think thats everything! Oh! How about a lush store? ;)

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the area and the outdoor style. Not tons of stores to choose from, BUT combined with the shopping centers across the street and surrounding area (all within a minute drive) it is well worth my 25 minute drive to get here. There is also a theater I havent been to and a nice variety of restaurants to take a break from shopping at.

As usual its a strip mall which is really only good during the summer time, other than that the theathe carmike cinema is very fantastic and all its surrounding stores and eating area, i wish there is also a foodcourt around number one bet for me is MAKI OF JAPAN.... so i can stop going to castleton mall or greenwood mall just to eat at this place lol

I love this mall!! But I absolutely HATE the name... You talk about names make a big difference.. Well this name is crap.. And you need to change it back.. Im only 16 and I can tell you now me and a lot of my friends dislike the name.. Your wrong for changing the name its been like that for a long time.

The upgrade from "Metropolis" to "The Shops at Perry Crossing" seems to be attracting more shoppers. I go for the movies at Carmike, Barnes & Noble, and several restaurants, like Panera, Noodles and I think I saw them adding a Chipotle, plus a couple of high-end restaurants.

This place has improved a lot since it was rebranded (was called Metropolic). A lot of cool stores have moved in. For shops on the north end of the mall they have a tough time staying in business which is a bit sad, but the southern area by the theater is always booming.

Beautiful outdoor shopping mall with a nice variety of stores. Ive been here twice with my daughter while visiting Indy in the summer. There is a movie theater and several places to eat. I definitely plan to come back to try some of the restaurants.

This is a great outdoor mall with a movie theater in very close proximity. I would have given it 5 stars if they had a food area and more shops that I like. Pac Sun is no longer here and only the Finish line to buy the brand of shoes I wear.

In my opinion, not a lot of shops here that interest me as Im more of the "alternative" crowd, so the only shops here I frequent are the Hot Topic and Journeys. That being said, there are plenty of other shops for other types of people.

The mall needs a good anchor store to give it some vitality and draw in more shoppers. But the new name really does suck. At least Metropolis had some possibilities. The parking leaves a lot to be desired, but the pub is a nice stop.

Great for shopping or walking around. Very kid friendly. They have things for kids to do in there little park. With showing movies outside on a big screen on some Thursday during the summer months. Good Restaurants. And AMC theater

Outdoor mall, nice selection of stores but small selection of items in some of them. Parking can be far ways depending on where you want to shop. Great place for a good-weather day. Good food in the mall and surrounding the mall.

This place was promising when being built but fell short of expectations. Forget shopping in this wind tunnel during the winter. Youll freeze to death going from store to store. The theater is nice and it is generally clean.

The outdoor atmosphere is unique to our area. Its great in the summer, but has obvious drawbacks during the winter months. Its currently in the process of adding new shops like H&M which is set to be open in the spring.

The theatre here is good. I usually go here for Indian movies. But recently I have observed that there is no ticket attendant at all, so you can directly enter a screen and watch a movie too, which should not happen.

Best Lane Bryant in Indy. New management offers a shopping experience comparable to posh places. Your inner diva will love the high fashion new face of LB! Check out Christian Siriano s hottest new fall line!

Lots of improvements and new stores going in! Very pleasant to walk around when the weather is warm. Wide variety of stores and new ones going in all of the time. Limited food options is my only complaint.
