Reasonable prices, clean environment, but the largest reason for the five star rating is on behalf of the overall customer service of the staff. Anymore, its unfortunately difficult to find a place that has good customer service and friendly staff, let alone exceptional customer service and friendly staff. The few times I have gone into PetSmart for kitten needs, my daughter and I were always kindly greeted and efficiently helped. The employees were very knowledgeable, answering questions about both their stores products and pets. As well as their being openly honest regarding pet related questions if they did not personally know the answer to the question. But rather then just stating that they werent sure, they would either ask a senior staff member or look up the information. At one of our visits, there was a trainee and trainer allowing the customers to pet a baby snake; and as some may know, snakes can sometimes carry a dangerous bacteria called salmonella. So when my 6 yr old was done petting the snake, they employees made valiant efforts to both inform us about the importance of washing our hands or using the hand sanitizer located in the reptile display isle for our personal health safety.

If I could give this negative stars, I would. This is the WORST experience for me and my dog. A few months ago my dog had cancer on one of her front leg. Unfortunately we had to amputate to take the cancer away. She has 3 legs now so we have to be careful. We thought it was time for her to get a hair cut so we brought her to pet supplies but they gave her fleas. Our next option was pet smart, they cut her hair but they missed a lot of spots and they most certainly werent careful at all. I come home and take a good look at her and she has red marks and bumps all over her neck and it was wet, it had a bad Oder. Then, her front leg had bumps and on her shoulder too. I dont know what pet smart did to my dog but now shes suffering greatly. I dont recommend. Never coming back. Bad service, the staff was full with negative attitude and very rude. They need to hire BETTER GROOMERS that will be careful and not leave cuts on your dog. Mine sadly has one on her neck and with many bumps. Pet smart basically abuses pets. So done with that place.

The store is great, but the dog grooming salon is not. My review is STRICTLY for the dog grooming salon ONLY. The girls in there have attitude and are not the friendliest. Every time I peek in the window while just shopping for a dog toy, I spot them being way too rough on the dogs being groomed. I will also mention they told me my dog was biting, barking, growling and showing his teeth at them when they tried to brush him when he does just fine at other dog grooming salons. They were unprofessional with my mom when she took him there for a bath today. They said he treats them like they are the mailman and that he has a long list of bad history there even though he had only been there once before. We are the paying customer. They should have just taken him gratefully and put a muzzle on him if he truly acts like that. I have friends who have said that they have told them the same thing, that their dogs misbehaved and they werent able to finish grooming them. I will never give them my business and money again.

The other day I went to Pet smart to buy some Balloon Mollies. I asked the girl how many they had, because the Balloon Mollies are so high that you cant really see them. She said seven, so I said, can I just buy them all? She gave me a REALLY DIRTY LOOK and asked me how big my Tank was. I said 30 gallon and there is four other Mollies thats going to be with them. So when she was chasing them around a couple of dead fish got stirred up. Then she was putting them in a bag. It wasnt that full of water. So she scooped another thing of water FROM A DIFFERENT TANK!!!! The fish in that Tank could have diseases or something! Then a few days after I got them. I went back and got two more Mollies because a few of mine died. I pointed out the fish I wanted and the dude got the wrong fish! So its been a few days since then and three fish have died already and my other fish got Ick from them. So Im going to take them back plus the wrong fish because shes aggressive.

I wish I would have read the reviews before setting an appt. With the grooming salon. My dog is a husky/ bearded Collie whose hair is not only thick, but grows long when not cut. She sees the groomer 3-4 times a year and has been for 7 years. This was her first visit to any place but a dedicated groomer. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. The girl was rude and had a bad attitude from the beginning. She moved her hand through all of my dogs hair and when my dog barked when she reached her under belly, she said that she was already being aggressive when petted so she would need sedated to be groomed. I made it clear that shes never had any issues. Ever. And yet the attitude continued. We left and will continue to drive further to qualified groomers who not only know what theyre doing, but are friendly to boot.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful 5 lbs dog, this the first time either of us have taken a dog for grooming. We had good experience with this Petsmart so decided to go there. Big MISTAKE, they butchered my dog :( he looked like he got a bowl cut long hair on the top and the butt and bottom area is buzzed!! my dog even got a cut from the groomer! and they didnt even tell us until we got in the car!.....anyway we went back to tell them the manager said my dogs butt is too big so they had cut the way they did...MY DOG IS 5LBS!!!!!!!! how big can his butt be?????? anyway im sooo disappointed...at least his hair will grow back :(......all i can say is if you have a dog that can have buzzed short hair, then its okay but if you have a long hair type dog dont go there!!!

I absolutely love this store. All of the associates are friendly and inviting. The reptiles/birds/fish are all VERY well taken care of, and I have purchased many healthy pets from this store. As for the other reviews, I have never had a problem with the grooming salon. The girls have always taken great care of my dog! If they claim that your dog is biting, growing, etc, then thats your fault as an owner. You need to take responsibility for it. As with any company, Im sure there are strict safety guidelines, and grooming an unruly dog isnt worth losing their job. As an owner, you can go into any part of this store with confidence.

I needed help w a question concerning my cats ears. Employee that helped me just clocked out for the day. She took me directly to the aisle and took time and explained the different options they had to offer and how they worked and why they were different from each other. She knew her products and she had great stewardship toward her customer. Wonderful value! Though during departure and check out there was a long line w only one cashier taking care of a customer w concerns. Took awhile to open up more lanes. I was on my lunch break. So this could be an area for improvement. Overall, still a good visit.
