I bought a garage kit and have to buy more lumber to be able to build it to code also had to replace boards that were the wrong dimensions at my cost because the kit did not give options on footer specs keep in mind Im not a building contractor so I didnt know 100% what to look for thats why I used the kit expensive lesson learned dont trust the kit or the team at menards to get the right stuff call a contractor and have them order the lumber so they can get it right I was told that I am at fault because I should have known what i was ordering and even though the menards team know that there are many bugs in the program they dont warn you or suggest that you have a professional help you

Wont return to Lafayette Menards, ever. Was ignored by 2 employees when I asked for help, then was threatened by one that he was calling police because I wasnt moving fast enough to take my puppy back out to my truck. The rude SOB didnt even ask if my dog was a service dog or not. He just jumped down my throat. I should have laid him out in the tool aisle and let the night shift sweep him up with the rest of the trash.

Wow, Good luck getting any type of service at this location? I was lucky to get the answer"its in Paint" as the hardware Mgr grabs his cell and brushed past me with a "F*** you" look in his eye! Even the Store Mgr was less then helpful, with his you suck attitude and I am not going to do anything?

Prices are nice. Staff isnt always timely, but are helpful and friendly. Delivery does not include assistance moving product indoors, which was surprising for the cost to deliver ($59). Rebate program is straightforward. I prefer menards over other home improvement stores, mainly due to pricing.

We would like to recognize a young lady in the plumbing department! She is always courteous and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the merchandise and applications. We dont know her name but she has worked there for 15 years. She is a great asset to this store and the company.

Tool selection could have more name brands and less run of the mill store brands, but overall this place is better than some of the alternatives. They also have a superior selection of lumber for the average diyer

Good prices. Sometimes the staff is helpful. Selection is the best in town, tools are generally low quality. Return process is a mixed bag sometimes fine other times more difficult.
