My wife and I have purchased several cars from this dealer before, and each time we regret it. Check engine lights on the way home, poor followup customer service, etc. Somehow they always seem to be the dealer with the inventory of vehicles I am looking for when I am searching, so against my better judgement, I again made my way to Penske. The salesperson was fine. The sales manager on the used car side low balled my trade-in aggressively. My vehicle is in near immaculate condition. I already had a Kelly Blue Book instant offer in hand for the "good" condition value, which my truck is well above. Being that this was an offer of $8800, I took that as a starting point, since it is what several dealers will simply cut you a check for without needing to purchase a vehicle from them. I was a bit surprised to get an offer of almost $2000 LESS than that price from Penske, which I could understand if my truck was in less than "wholesale" condition. When I alerted him to having an offer in hand 25% higher than his, he scoffed and proceeded to tell me why my vehicle was worth less than what they could sell it at auction for. He told me about different values from different listing sites, and made it sound like he was doing me a favor by offering me what he did. They began playing the dealer shell game, asking what I wanted, changing prices on one side to the other to really just shuffle numbers, with little pricing changes on the offers. I have said it before, but now I am posting a review. I will NEVER return to Penske. Ever. Also, I went a block away and had an offer in 30 minutes from a competitor to cut me a check right then for my truck for $9600, almost $3000 higher than Penske offered as "trade in value", and $800 OVER the instant offer they had extended online prior to seeing my car, due to how well maintained my truck actually is. At this competitor, I didnt even need to buy from them to get this amount. Penske wanted to "do me a favor" by giving me $3k less and then treating me like an uninformed consumer who should be happy to get what they offer. Buyer beware. The only reason they get 1 star is due to their stellar salesperson, who I feel bad for having to deal with the low-ball offer/ re-offer game between the manager and the client. 33 of 86 reviews for Penske are below average (2 stars or less). Their reply to each is the same, yet the same names keep popping up in them. Be a smart shopper and take the time to read them, and then decide if you want to do business with this company. I know that I wish I had, it would have saved me several car purchases, and 1.5 hours of wasted time today.

1st visit; My original issue has been resolved. Both the financial manager and service manager , corrected the issue and offered a reimbursement. I feel better about the corrected result. 2nd visit. 3/24/16 decided to give this service shot another shot, took the car in for oil change and replace fuse on dc charger. Got car back and was missing a gift I bought my wife. Pretty much done with these guys. it was only a cheap gift, but if i cant trust the guys with an cheap gift how can i trust them with a car. Got home today told wife what happened. Found out her family works for GM. Response to the Owner; 3/26/2016 Ive already spoken with your managers, sales and shop. I was given an apology. Which is ok. But my item was never located. It was there when I took the car in and gone when I got the car back. Your Staff cant be lying, Stealing and over charging your customers if you want to continue doing business. I personally will never return to a penske dealership again , because of the repetitive issues I keep having. The first issue you were able to resolve by offering me a refund on my service in 2015, your rep was supposed to fix a tire, and instead I got the tire back 2 days later with the same nail in it, as when i first brought it in. Thats ridiculous. But you called me and offerend to refund the fix in exchange for my removal of my first review. Then the sensor in the tire was removed and I had a check tire light on in my car. I took it back in and the staff told me it was a 130.00$ to fix, I spoke with your parts department and they told me it would be 10$ part and its easy to to install. Strike 2. 2016 I bring my car in for Preventive maintenance and your staff steals from me . Strike 3 . I think were done with penske, We actually were looking at a new car about the same time too. But after all this. I think we will take our business elsewhere. I must admit your sales staff is AWESOME, but your shop staff lost business from me. My wife has contacted General Motors Directly and they will be investigating this location and following up with customers to ensure the "GM Brand" stays in good standing. Gm has been following up with us daily from their headquarters. I will post the results as we get them.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AFWUL! There is no system in place for this service center to properly assist the amount of appointments they offer as "open" to be booked online. Sure it is easy, there is no limit! There is always a wait to get into the center before you car is even checked in to be serviced. There is no system for traffic to enter the service center either. It is very easy for customers to cut in line from a different direction. It does not matter if every customer service rep is on duty, at least two are not assisting customers, just sitting at their desks looking at all of us. The customer service reps do not ask if anyone has an appointment, they just randomly approach people, not always who enter the garage first either which makes the system of waiting in line also pointless. If a rep is finished assisting one customer another one could approach that rep, cutting everyone else as well. Poor efficiency and customer service, with laughable communication. I once waited over 5 hours for a simple oil change. There was no update and finally when they told me my car was ready they had informed me the tech broke something they needed to replace... for an oil change? No communication and I had to be to work at 12:30! I also waited another time for a battery replacement about a month after we purchased my vehicle from this dealership. That time I also waited FIVE hours for a battery replacement. There were no issues additional issues, like a tech breaking something. That time I did not book an appointment, so clearly appointments do not matter. There is only one shuttle attendant if you need a ride home or to work. I had to leave after 15 mins of waiting to be waited on for an appointment I had made in fear the attendant had already left with the 6 people who ended up serviced ahead of me, when there were three cars in front of mine. Do yourself a favor, GO ELSEWHERE! My recommendation is the Firestone off Michigan in Zionsville.
