HORRIBLE!!! Absolutely the worst Verizon ever!!!! My experience here completely changed my whole view of the Verizon Wireless company. After this, I switched to AT&T and I plan on staying with them until my trust is regained. Okay so now to the story, I went into this Verizon the day after I had lost my phone on a roller coaster ride at Holiday World. I needed a new phone and I said hey why not get a new plan for myself anyway, so I can be separate from my moms plan considering Im heading off to college and all. Anyway, this is what I tell the Employee who helped me, his name shall not be known. He starts setting me up with a credit check in order to start my own plan. Since I am young and have little credit, a security deposit is needed in order to do this. The security deposit he gave me was $125. Eh, not bad! So I went ahead and have him my card. He swiped my card and we waited. He said that they were having "system difficulties" previously and a bunch of words I did not understand but he assured me that if the transaction did not work completely, I would be fully refunded immediately. Stupid me to believe him!!!!!!!! The transaction did not work! So he said that the $125 was taken out of my account but he would refund it and we will try it again. I was desperate and needed a new phone so we tried again. He swiped the card again, he even took the number and manually entered them multiple times. Yet again, no luck. So a total of $250 dollars was taken out of my account and I was expected to be REFUNDED IMMEDIATELY. By this time 2 hours had already gone by and I needed to be at work. I did not have a phone to check my bank account so I took his word that the money was refunded. Again, stupid me. Well Wednesday rolls around and I finally am able to get into an AT&T store and get a new phone. I call my bank and retrieve my information and I check my bank account. IT SAYS I AM NEGATIVE $363 DOLLARS. AFTER 6 WHOLE DAYS I WAS NEVER EVER REFUNDED THE MONEY THAT VERIZON TOOK OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. I never even got a phone plan from them!!!!!! Not only was I not refunded the money that they practically STOLE from me, the two transactions caused me to go into the negative, resulting in SEVEN overdraft fees!!!!!! All because I was unaware that I was robbed!!!! I called Verizon and I was told that it was going to take FIVE days for them to "investigate" the situation. NO INVESTIGATON NEEDED!!!! The FACT is that Verizon stole my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My experience here is very mixed. Finding a sales rep that actually knows about the phones seems to be hit or miss. Finding a sales rep that explains all the hidden fees to you before you buy is a lost cause. You usually never find out until after. I understand they have comissions, but when Im in the store asking about a technical or billing issue, my prerogative is not what your new sale is. In fact, its often insulting how they care more about you buying than giving you the service you ask for. My most recent experience was when I went into the store browsing devices and was sold a tablet. I got it for half off, great. I was sucker punched by activation fees, which I accepted as I should have expected there to be an activation fee. The biggest insult was when I had a vocational and lifestyle change that did not require a tablet and I asked to stop using one on my plan. It would cost me a hefty fee to not use a service. So, you get charged for using services. You get charged for not using services. Its pretty similar to comcast except the customer service at least tries to treat you like a human. Also, they are masters of the bait and switch technique. They show the sticker price for phones, but they do not sell them without the starter bundle which adds a decent amount to the actual cost. Some reps will admit the stickers are misleading, but I guess its ok to mislead the people.

The Verizon representative entered the wrong shipping address for my warranty phone. Once this was figured out after 5 days of "unsuccessful delivery attempts" according the the FedEx website, I called FedEx. They cannot take a change in shipping address from anyone except for the person(s) who issued the shipment. When I called Verizon in Bloomington back, they indicated there was nothing they could do and wanted to know if I wanted the FedEx tracking number. They went on to tell me (again) there was nothing they could do, but wanted to know if I needed anything else. My phone is still currently in limbo somewhere between FedEx shipping center and the wrong address that Verizon cannot correct. I understand not being able to do anything at the store level, but at least direct me to a representative online or over the phone who could solve the mistake that was made at the store level. Oh, and I could go on about how they told me they couldnt change the address at the store either and were going to have the phone sent to the billing address in Illinois, but Ive already given hours of my life that I wont get back to a team of unhelpful representatives.

My phone was ready for an upgrade. I went into the store, talked to the associate for a while as he went on and on and picked the phone I wanted to upgrade to. We get to the counter and he says the bills minimum needs to be paid before he can go any further with the purchase. Wanting to wait till I got paid to pay off the bill I go ahead and drop $100 to get my new phone bc my current phone is slowly become more and more glitchy and frustrating to use. He proceeds to tell me (after I pay $100) that my spending limit is exceeded and I can not get a new phone till I pay off my sons iPad that is on the plan. Why tell me Im eligible for an upgrade and make me pay on my bill that isnt late then turn around and say Im not able to get the upgrade? It would have been different if they didnt build you up and get you pumped for the new phone just to tell you youre shit out of luck. I could have saved alot of time but they wont tell you these things unless you fork out money first. I was and am extremely disappointed.

I live in plainfield and I purchased my phone in Avon. The number for this store called me today, 3 months after I started my service and claimed there was a promotion going on where they would save me 1 dollar a month and add insurance? I thought it was extremely weird for an out of town verizon store to randomly call me out of the blue. If verizon wireless was going to offer me a discount out of nowhere, I would imagine they would just automatically do it. Who would turn down a less expensive bill??? Im in the car biz and even I wouldnt do something this shady. Not sure why a bloomington store would think its a good idea to call central indiana customers. I switched from att after 6 years to verizon and if I get another call like this ill switch again. The second I took the call I looked up the number and as soon as I saw bloomington verizon I hung up on him.
