SCREWED US ON IPHONE LAUNCH DAY. Strengths: Saying what you want to hear. Weaknesses: Any kind of follow-through or ability to make up for mistakes. When the iPhone 5s was announced, my wife and I went in the weekend prior to launch to check our upgrade eligibility and ask a few other questions. Multiple sales people were a part of this conversation (although they blame our troubles on one employee). They promised to hold back the specific phones we wanted so that we could come in on launch day and pick them up. One employee even provided his personal cell phone number so that we could check in. We thought we were getting a great inside deal from a third party that was small enough to do something like this. On launch day, we slept right through the midnight launch (if we had done it that way, a phone would have shipped in 1-3 days). I called during the day, and they told me, "Yes, weve got them held back. Come on in after work if you like." When I got there, I waited around 30 minutes for help. One employee did talk with me as soon as I walked in, and when I explained that I had been in last week and that they had held back some phones, he said "ok". When I got to the front, the employee there told me that their store has a policy that they cant hold back phones and must sell them first come, first served. He did check the stock, but the specific type of phone we wanted was no longer available. After explaining my frustrations, he offered to order me the phones we wanted and have them shipped there in a few weeks time. As you can imagine, I was done being a customer of theirs, so I declined. Not a big deal for them; there were plenty of other customers in line. Due to the limited supply at launch, this put us in a situation where we had to order our phones elsewhere, and by that time the estimates were close to two weeks to ship.

After being with AT&T for 10+ years their customer service is the worse ever. So because customer service is the most important in order for someone to keep your business, we switched over to Verizon. We went to the Verizon store on W 3rd St and I was totally blown away with the AWESOME customer service the have given me. Not only have I transferred my personal phones over to Verizon, I have also transferred my business phones over to Verizon as well. Verizon on W 3rd street has such a big variety of phones and accessories that will meet your needs. So if everyone is tired of the poor customer service at AT&T I would highly recommend coming to the Verizon Retail store on W 3rd St and ask for Ryan, bc he has always gone above and beyond to help me with anything I needed whether it was business or personal.

I went in because my phones screen had shattered quite badly and needed to be replaced. Fortunately I was due for an upgrade. The salesman, Josh Pain, brought out my new phone and a screen protector, which I had not asked for. He still didnt ask me if I wanted a screen protector as he put it on my new phone while I was backing up data from my broken phone, so I assumed it was free as part of a promotion, etc. Josh informed me of the total charge due, without explaining the breakdown, and I paid it. When I checked the receipt the following day, I noticed I had been charged $30 for the screen protector. Fortunately, other staff were quick to offer a refund. Josh was very likable and knowledgeable, but he lost my trust, and ultimately my patronage.

This is a third party Verizon store - not corporate. Management and the employees are always humble, very nice, and more than helpful. They listen and will go out of their way to help. I have been going to this store for 8 years running. I personally have had VERY BAD experiences at the Verizon corporate store at College Mall on the east side of town; They sold equipment to someone on my plan, but not authorized to do so without my ok. Just last year I was even lied to by a longtime employee, phoned Verizon, verified the lie, then confronted the manager and the employee; I was told they were put on report. They only want to sell you something, not help. Verizon West is Where its Happening! Visit them, theyre awesome Baaaby!!!

I have been doing business with Cellular sales for 5 years. I always recommended them highly, until recently. I originally re signed a contract back in July of 2015. I got the phone insurance which was supposed to be if you broke your phone, they would replace it with one off the shelf in store. That was the agreement. Well I recently broke my phone and they informed me they had a policy change and no longer support that program. In fact it literally ended 9 days ago. So now they wont replace my phone as promised. So if they promise you something, they can and will change it without notification, their word means nothing, and they do not care. I will never sign with them again.

My phone broke 2 weeks ago and I went into the store to get a new phone (eligible for upgrade). I had a choice of only 4 phones that were not smartphones and the one I wanted was unavailable in the store. It was then "ordered" from a store in a neighboring state. We were told it would take TWO days to get in. After 4 days we called the store and were assured it was on its way. After a WEEK, I physically went to the store and sat there while I made the employee call to find out where it was--it hadnt shipped yet. Then it was "overnighted" from a store about 3 hours away. ANOTHER WEEK LATER, the phone has still not arrived and I have been without service that whole time.

Some times you can find whatever particular phone you looking for cheaper elsewhere (but not always) but youll never find better customer service in Bloomington. If youre like me, you rather spend a little bit more and have fewer problems. Here is what happens when you go to this store. Walk in. Some one greets you at the door. You dont have to sign in (this isnt McDonalds). They ask you what you are looking for in a phone. Theyll show a few different options that fits your needs. You buy it. They set everything up for you. And then they give you their personal cellphone number. They keep it simple. Just crazy. I highly recommend them.

I wandered in to Verizon on West Third St in Bloomington pretty sure I had broken the screen on my Galaxy4 only to be very pleasantly surprised that the tempered glass screen saver I had purchased months ago really did its job. Corey, the manager was both friendly and professional in resolving not only my screen issue but taking the time to explain many other things that I was not tech savvy enough to know. I unconditionally recommend doing business with this Verizon store, I was treated liked a highly valued customer despite only buying a new screen saver and extremely cool new Mophie case. Thanks Corey and Verizon!

Ryan became my go-to for all things Verizon in Summer of 2014, and has remained such ever since. He is knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and never fails to go above and beyond, regardless of my endless questions - and Im a natural skeptic, so I ask a LOT of questions. I never have to worry about missing the newest gadget release, nor special promotions, because he ensures Im in-the-know, and then helps me to make informed decisions regarding purchases and my account. I confidently recommend Ryan and the entire West Third crew to everyone I know! The store is clean, and atmosphere inviting. Check them out!
