Aside from the part that Schnucks groceries are pricier than other supermarkets, the employees have the worst attitude towards customers of any store Ive been in. And all they had to do was bag foods and take payment! I have been refused service by the bagging clerk twice out of the 7 times Ive been there. I tried the self-checkout counter because Schnucks is the closest grocery store to my apartment, but I still feel like the employees are teaming up to try to humiliate me. This is my first time posting negative comments, but I feel that some things have to be made public for change, and what those employees did at Schnucks is not right.

I loooove this store! If you are into fair trade products and organics they have tons of items to offer, from produce to paper towels. Their produce is always fresh and the store brand has decent products, they also have a sushi bar where sushi is made on site daily yum :) Its not even as pricey as you would think especially if you shop the sales. As far as I can tell the employees are friendly and the service is prompt, I dont usually have to stand around in line waiting for someone to help me. If you are new or havent been before you should check it out, they even have a cute little coffee bar you can study at

Fair warning. We purchased some La Brea bread today from Schnucks in Urbana, and the bread was clearly re-labelled two days later. Its clearly old bread and moving towards stale bread. We are shocked by this practice. Its very clear that the bread was re-marked with a future date, and weve contacted corporate Schnucks about this.

Schnucks is more expensive than the bigger Meijer or Walmart. However, its nearer, and my wife and I appreciate its convenience. The food is fresh and they have many organic choices. There are many choices of meat as well. I feel the staff there are the most friendly ones in all the supermarkets in town.

I really love that they stock Homer soda here. I like their bakery items and their bagel options are tasty and cheap. Fantastic that theyre so close to me and open 24 hours; I like to shop late at night when its not busy.

I shop here as my regular grocery store. Loads of vegan options and fresh produce. Their ethnic selection is quite nice as well. The Co-op has better produce and more vegan things, but thats to be expected.

Its 24 hours which is nice. Central location. Checkers are friendly. Prices are low and unit prices are marked for easy comparison. Could be a little cleaner but nothing bad enough to keep me from going.
