This review is ONLY regarding the Butterfield Taproom part of the store. It seems very unorganized (no host or a sign explaining to order at the bar) and definitely under-managed. The poor girl working the bar during this thursday lunch was way, way behind helping customers and unable to give good service due to lack of help. She was really flustered and it showed. The place was full of about 40 people for this 1 person to serve. Due to her being overwhelmed, our food took about 50 minutes. We had to ask about our pizza because she had forgot to put the order in after about 30 minutes. There was no apology or even acknowledgement of any mishap. While the food was very good to great, this is ridiculous and needs to be addressed.

My favorite thing about While Foods is that they stand by their promise of keeping items containing HFCS and other know harmful ingredients off the shelves. Its a "you get what you pay for" scenario here. The selections are definitely pricier than at your average grocery store, but you can rest easy knowing that everything in your cart supports your personal goals and values (in health, environmental sustainability, etc). As an added bonus, this location added a self-serve mochi ice cream bar recently!!! (Its like a salad bar but containing a variety of flavors of ice creams wrapped in yummy sweet sticky Japanese "mochi" rice dough - yum!)

Eye catching tempting displays. I cant get enough of this store. Melt in your mouth fresh macarons - $10 for a whole box! Only Mochi bar in the metropolitan area. Raviolis made while you wait. Delicious entrees, appetizers, pizza, ethnic deli - so many tasty things to eat! Buy the 6 pack of frozen salmon with the 365 chili and lime seasoning - its the best youll have. I buy acetone free nail polish and mascara here. Recently planted a packet of seeds I bought here and have the most delightful garden now. If you are on a budget, stick to the sales, the bulk items, and the 365 brand. There is something for everyone.

Store sells rotten poultry! I purchase organic ground turkey, was home within a couple of hours cooking it, and it made me sick for 2 days. The refrigeration in the isles of meat and dairy is very very poor. Be careful! Update in 10-2015, Whole Foods, why do you have to poison all of your pre-made food (salad bar, deli, packaged meals) with canola oil. You cant seem to make anything without drenching it in canola oil. That is the worst most unhealthy oil, and I am sure you are not using non-GMO oil. Someone will come along and take your current position of a leader as an organic food retailer.

Bigger store, more stuff to buy at high prices, my personal experience is that there is a lot be desired in the area of customer service, simply being polite & courteous; with each visit Ive encountered a team member who is rude and kind of arrogant and has said or done something inappropriate, the nice ones are there too; in general WF does not operate or tolerate this behavior, this is out of hand; besides I can get insulted for free, why should I pay for them? Not sure whats going on here, but I will do the majority of my shopping at other stores.

Ive visited the new whole foods on opening day, January 25, and a couple of days later. It seems to me that you have a larger store with fewer of the items that I want. Your meat department and your fish department are very disappointing. People, especially in the meat department, dont know what theyre doing. You dont have such basic things as bone-in chicken and nobody seems to care. Explanations that "your suppliers are temporarily out of stock" are insulting to anyones intelligence. Is anybody in charge?

God help me if whole foods can ever hire the right kind of customer service representatives. The route 59 store and this location seem to have an affinity with hiring naive little teenagers and 20 somethings, who are complete Facebook robots. I "used" to feel comfortable shopping at these stores now I feel Im treated with indifference and negativity. At this location there are still a couple veterans but I never see them anymore and I avoid this crap hole like the plague.

Wow, this new location is vastly improved from the old location. This is a shoppers paradise, stocked wall-to-wall with all kinds of groceries from around the world. The butcher, deli, seafood, bakery, cheese, and beauty sections are all well staffed. Its great they also have places to sit, drink, eat, and enjoy yourself. Checkout staff was fast and friendly. Im looking forward to visiting again.

Very crowded since the new relocation but its expanded for the better. Great fresh food options and the associates are very helpful. There is a convenient check out line as soon as you enter. As crowded as its been i never had to Waite in line. I went in specifically for muchi and although good its a little pricey. Overall pleased with the service and cleningness.

The new store is gorgeous. Easy to shop and everyone is always friendly. I love the new layout and new selections they offer. Pizza oven, mochi ice cream, new cheese area, the made to order food! We had lunch there, it was great. We all got something different and enjoyed every bite.

Butterfield Tap Room is a nice addition to this location. A fine selection of craft beer with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cant really speak to the wine selection, but does seem limited. And, if youre not sampling a draft, you can always go to cooler and grab some beer to go.

Decent set up, great coffe bar, and a bright set-up. However, a rather cold environment compared to the old store. Former Wheaton Store employees who stayed are still friendly; but the newbies are unhelpful, cold, and even hostile. I like the old store much more!

The new store is awesome! So much space! Same great selections, great quality and super friendly and helpful staff. It looks like they added to their buffet bar and added additional dining. Also, it appears they have a bar or beer selections inside as well.

We love Whole Foods for their options but they are just so over priced compared to other places for the same exact selections. Im better off ordering from Amazon Fresh and saving the money and having it delivered to my door. Lower your prices to compete.

This place is big and clean, what more can you ask? They also have a great craft beer selection and a huge cheese section! I used to go to Beer School here, which was a ton of fun! I learned so much from Paul and he was a blast to hang out with.

Always great service and excellent healthy food choices. Prices are high, so cant give it five stars. Even the 360 brand is high or starts low and then WFs raises the price if popular. This has happened several times over the years...

love that they have a bar with bears that I actually like. Other than that, prob wont shop here for everything but it seems like eating here is reasonable too. The bar prices and the food prices are not bad at all.

This new Whole Foods is completely decked out and filled to the gills with amazing and delicious food. Stop here for a pint of beer or a pint of ice cream, theyll be able to satisfy both cravings.
