I mean, what can you expect? Its a below average grocery store that is still acceptable due to the fact that its the only one you can reach without a car from campus. The produce and frozen food selections are quite poor, and it can be extremely understocked at times. There were times that they were completely out of cheetos, which I thought was ridiculous. There also is only 1 brand for most generic food items, which is a bit disappointing. I rarely leave here with everything that I intended to buy, and its pretty expensive too. It honestly deserves a rating of 2, but Ill give it a 3 due to the convenience is has to campus.

Convenient for students on campus, but horrible service. Just wanted to buy some alcohol with my groceries, I showed the cashier my ID (my passport, im older than 21) at checkout, the cashier refused to sell alcohol to me and asked for the passport of everyone who was with me. I asked why, the cashier did not even reply. How ridiculous was that! that was such a clear discrimination against international students! Never heard of such thing in US!!!? I would never ever go to County Market again!

The store is very well stocked considering the massive demand of all the students on campus, with a little bit of everything. The shelves and produce are always neat and tidy. A huge selection of liquor for obvious reasons. The prices are a bit high due to being the only grocery store on campus and the staff, specifically the cashiers, leave a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. Overall, a good place to stop in and do some light shopping but I try not to do my regular shopping there.

I am in LOVE with this grocery store. They send out coupon books for their weekly specials. Use the coupons, cause you will save BIG! Its the biggest grocery store on/around campus so a lot of students go there to shop. A huge parking lot, so you dont have to fight for a spot and the bus stops are just a walk away. I go here at least once every two weeks to stock up and save. It beats having to trek out to wal-mart and come back with heavy grocery bags.

I dont get why so many people love this place. Yes, they certainly are trying to look like Whole Foods with their layouts of different prepared foods in the deli section. However, all it is is the same bad-for-you foods that we have come to expect in the midwest dressed up in a fancy bowl or basket or something. The majority of what I see here is just an average grocery store with lots of window dressing.

I dont understand all the negative reviews about the service, I have been there a few times now and the employees have been very nice and helpful to me. The prices are a bit high, but this is the most convenient store based on where I live. I cant take a rental car to shnucks or meijer every weekend. Or even every other weekend. County has mostly everything I need, so I cant complain. :)

The produce section is good and has fresh stuff. Variety of produce and other food is limited but good enough for a small market. The selection of non-food products is significantly smaller than food related products. Location is very convenient and its open round the clock. Prices are a bit higher but if you were to utilize sales and coupons, its not too bad. Staff is helpful.

Very high prices, making students pay for convenience, being the only grocery store truly on campus. Employees usually arent very helpful if you need help finding something. The store is usually crowded with students, and employees trying to re-stock the shelfs mid-day. Tip: If youve got a ride, head to Meijer on N. Prospect Ave, for much better deals on groceries.

Trendy Market! This place has everything youd need for campus life. Theres a nice deli there and a soup bar area, so if youre in the mood for some food, you can get something ready to eat here. They also have a wonderful cafe and plenty of places to sit and catch up on your work. The place is very clean and welcoming. Its one of my favorite stores to get food at.

I dont really like it here. If you dont have a car, and you need something quick, I guess this place is alright. Otherwise, I think the products are pretty poor quality in general. Plus, the one time I went to the butcher here, he didnt know the differences between the different grades of beef (prime, choice, and select) and which grades were superior.

Decent grocery store. The produce isnt very good, meat selection is okay and the rest of the store is pretty good. The prices at the store are much higher than they really need to be except a few items when theyre on sale. There arent a lot of other options nearby that you can get to without a car though.

Prices tend to be REALLY high, but they are pretty much the only grocery store on UIUCs campus. If you have a car and have time to go somewhere else, you probably should, if you have to walk or take a bus, go here for sure! Prices on alcohol tend to be pretty high too. Go to the Green St. Walgreens.

This grocery store is pretty campus basic. OK produce selection, pretty good liquor selection (bad wine selection). Most things kind of over priced. If you dont have a car and you live on campus, maybe try Schnucks in Urbana . I only come here if Im in the area and I only need one or two things.

You pay for convenience here. Its the only full grocery store on the UI campus. Theres a Caribou coffee. Open 24 hours. Its also serves as a place to study with its Wi-Fi and tables on the main floor and upstairs. It gets pretty crowded during the school year and afternoon rush hour

For a campus grocery store, this is a great place. Some of the staff is less than helpful, but overall no complaints. Note, this is not a full grocery store so they have a little less selection than the full sized stores. They do have all the necessities, and a decent variety.

Country Market is open 24 hours and always has everything. Im really glad its on the heart of campus time, which definitely makes shopping convenient. Prices compared to other stores like Schnucks or Wal-Mart/Target are a little high. But, I think its worth it.

There is a manager in there that is a real jerk. He is in his 50s I believe, with grey hair and glasses. Does not know how to treat people at all and should be fired. I will not go back into County Market because of the way I was treated.

Bit expensive, and not quite as large as Id like, but they pretty much always have what I want. Small sushi section, small bakery, small cafe, small salad bar; theres a lot here. Fresh produce always, stocked nicely, clean, friendly staff.

Staff at the lunch bar is impatient for confused customer. Second floor seating not comfortable and easy place for electionics to drop to first floor. Otherwise, the rest of the staff is friendly and decent selection of good sold here.

Been my go to place for a year when i lived on the Champaign side. Watch out for sales to get milk, cereal, chips and other stuff at a discounted price. Used to also get quarters for laundry and the staff are friendly and helpful.
