Re review from Feb 5, it appears the deli has gotten better ... Deli withstanding (never been there), I have had only positive experiences with this Meijer. The produce is fresh (more so than the Champaign Meijer; e.g., as far as I know the only location in Champaign-Urbana for on demand ripe avocados), organic options abound, organization is intuitive, lighting is very pleasant, and the checkout is usually efficient. My biggest complaint is that the cheese selection is a little skimp and some of the kitchen appliances are overpriced. Overall, Im really happy about this Meijer. The Champaign Meijer was too far away and the produce was hit-or-miss.

I am a total fan of Meijer Curbside! I shop all week, add things to my cart as I run out, plan something for dinner, for an upcoming potluck. Just add everything to your cart. When youre about ready to pick up your groceries check out and start your new weekly grocery cart. One pointer, try to check out the day before, if you are wanting to swing by after work. The time slots for 3:00-6:00 fill out very quickly. Not a big deal if you are going in the morning or early afternoon. I hope to see other stores following Meijers example. Both stores - Urbana and Champaign both do an equally good job.

Meijer is one of many grocery stores in the Champaign-Urbana area. It is usually cheaper than stores such as County Market and Schnucks, and has fresher produce than Walmart or Ruler Foods. This location is one of two in the city (the other located at the opposite end of the area in northwest Champaign),. It is clean, well-organized and generally well-stocked. Unlike the Champaign meijer, crowds are never really an issue in this location except perhaps on weekend afternoons. Checkout can take quite some time, as most people use automated machines due to the low number of manned registers.

Philo Road Meijer has very good selection in produce, dairy, and packaged goods, including many organics and Meijer Naturals (non-GMO). I shop there at least twice a week (for the last six months). Unfortunately, I often find my produce is just about to go bad (berries with mold, oranges with soft spots, mushy spinach) when I open it at home. Maybe it is normal to throw away 10-20% of produce purchased, but I am still getting used to it. I enjoy the selection of organics, and would love to see grass-fed beef and lamb available.

This is the most confusing store I have ever been in. Need milk its over by the fishing rods (not kidding). Frozen food is in the middle of the clothing section. They tried to put too much in too small of store and it does not follow the layout of any other supermarket. I like meijer in general the one on prospect is a well organized store and its worth the extra drive to save half an hour looking for the orange juice (its right next to the motor oil)

The Meijer store in Urbana is very useful for the students and other residents of the area, and on our first trip to it we were able to find almost everything on our long shopping list. I think they should get the items organised better though as we had to go around the entire store a couple of times to locate an item (no the employees also could not help). The employees are very nice and warm. Overall a good experience.

Overall great grocery store with reasonable prices on food items. Very clean and well stocked store. Employees are usually very helpful. This location has self-checkouts, and after 10PM they will be the only registers open. TIP: Beware that if you shop after 10PM youll have to weave in and out of the night stockers, which can be difficult at times.

Be careful: this store does not rotate any of their produce or meat. Many items on their shelves are already expired and marked on sale to deceive you. I purchased feta cheese on sale only to find it was a week expired...clever but scummy business tactics. Of course they wouldnt refund me. I wont be back

This Meijer is unlike any Ive been to before. It has a homely atmosphere that is way better than the other warehouse-like Meijers. They also had a wider variety of food options to choose from. Including a larger Gluten free / trendy diet section. And no one can beat Meijers low prices.

This Meijer is fine, I guess. The food they prepare is good and they have a good selection. The problem is that the store is not really organized. They have tropical fish by the frozen food and there is just random stuff everywhere. Its not my favorite place.

Wish they had additional self scan, under 12 items, on the south end of the building. Maybe take out some of those lanes that never open. Always a line at the 3 station north end too. I shopped at the grand opening of the Meijer on Prospect. #LoyalCustomer

My wife and I have been loyal Meijer shoppers since the store first opened. Through Mperks my wife saves a bundle, and we find a lot of good products here. The employees are pretty pleasant to deal with, and being open all the time is quite handy.

We got our daught the Barbie Doll cake today for her 2nd birthday. I have to admit I expected it to be stiff but it was not even the icing was soft....The cake was more beautiful than the display. I am so empressed with this cake. Wonderful

The layout of the store is very intuitive. I dont like that grocery is in the back of the store, but its an industry standard. Its not too bad if you enter on the produce side. Its the side of the building that has fresh written on it.

Definitely the better of the two Meijers in town. The Urbana Meijer is cleaner and less crowded. You can easily get most of your groceries here. The biggest downside to the Urbana Meijer is its school/art supplies are quite limited.

Nice place to shop. There pharmacy department is the best in my opinion never have to wait or very little, unlike walmart they will tell you 20-30 minutes and then it is still not ready, Save time and money go to Meijers Pharmacy

The Perks program is state-of-the-art as far as coupons and savings however their staff is disinterested talking on their phones on slob and Lee unpleasant careless produce is excellent selection throughout the store great

Probably the best place to get groceries in CU. They have a lot better produce than the Champaign Meijer for some reason. Definately get the mperks app, it will save you a ton of money by automatically applying coupons.

I had been shopping at this Meijer store for almost four years. Very friendly staff. Always very clean and organized. I will really miss Meijer since Im moving to New Mexico. I wish they would build a store there.

This is the best Meijer in the Champaign/Urbana area. Clean, well organized, and always stocked with a wide variety of shopping needs. Produce and meat selection are always top quality.

The produce selection is good though if you get there on cleaning and re-stocking day, everything might not be as fresh. Bring as sweater because the whole store is like a refrigerator.

Great store. Good selection and always seems clean. Dont care for the credit card pedallers at the entrance, and they could have more checkout lanes open. Overall, a good store.
