I purchased 3 different fabrics. All had to be ordered. I was told they were available in other stores, lots of it, and they would do a transfer but could take a few weeks. I agreed to that. I was called in a week that one of the three orders was in but not the other two. I picked up the order, which was supposed to be 10 yds on one bolt. I was told then that it only came in 8 yd bolts. I then purchased an additional bolt of "8 yds to make sure project would work out. When I got home I noticed that there was a red sticker on the end that said 7.5 yds. Ok so it wasnt expensive and I was not about to go back to that store and stand in line forever for credit for 1/2 yd. Several weeks went by so I called on status of the rest of my order.(All fully paid for.) I was told that the fabric had not come in and was not available in any other store! I wasted a month waiting for fabric and was never notified. All I got was sorry, " I didnt take your order so I wasnt following up on it". I asked for a credit to my account and was told I had to come in to do that. I dont ever want to go back there again but theyre telling me it is the only way I can get my money back. I guess I can file a charge back against the company. I own a retail business and I understand that sometimes things go wrong but there was no effort to try to correct this situation on their part. Will never go back for anything.

I purchased some fabric from the store and am very pleased with it, but after I got home with it a determined thatit would be better to have gotten in cut in single yard lengthes. Upon call and requesting if this could be done if I stopped I wasn informed by phone that it was not possible. I was told that once it was paid for That could not be done. The purchase was from there and I have the receipt and they have the capability of cutting this straighter then I could at home and the time involved would be minimal. If you want to retain customers it would be nice to give them some better service.

Generally useless if you sew anything other than quilts. Good for common items (thread, snaps, common notions) but theres nothing special and this location is so small that the selection is not very wide. I think its possible that they are no longer required to ask you what youre making (which was obnoxious since they usually dont know enough to answer questions or offer advice on your project unless its something simple). Generally, I go into Chicago when I need anything specific.

My wife wanted to get a pattern to make a dragon costume for our new miniature dachshund puppy. Ive been to this store many times before, this one is quite small compared to others in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and organized, just small. They do have one person that says, "Hello, welcome to joanns" every time someone walks in, it gets urinating after a while when youre shopping. I wish she would say something different to mix it up.

I stopped by JOANNES on 7/18 to weave a web for this NEW dream coat and discovered that they had exactly what MeRAK needed! Yes when one whishes to cloth a naked planet then one must use NEON needles upon the NOSE of Mighty JOE. And IF your wondering what I mean; well then I suggest that you contact Sean and Jon my high school buds and ask them what it takes to thread a fiber optic vest.

Love Jo-Anns in Round Lake. It is nice to go somewhere that the staff know you by name and know how to help you. Many of the employees have been there for years which says a lot about the business. Now with the online shopping and pick up in store, I am sure I will be there a lot more. Thank you!

The bathroom had trash piled to the level of the seat, and I am not exaggerating. The smell was awful. Things were thrown on the shelves all over the store. None of the people were trying to clean, tidy up or even help customers. Very disappointed.

Not enough staff! The same person cutting fabric took care of the register and answered questions and walked people to the areas to find stuff. Very helpful person! She deserves 5 star review, unfortunately the store itself is a 2!
