One of the worst, if not the worst, customer service experience I have had in my life. I am still stunned by the purposeful incivility of the employee. To begin, I walk into the store and hear nothing but girl chat between the two women at the registers. Simply put, they seemed only mildly engaged with the three or four customers in line. Twenty minutes later, I approach the registers. Two registers, two customers. I line up at the nearest one and just as I step up to my checkout turn, the checkout woman shouts to someone 20 yards back into the store, then leaves the register. She refused even to acknowledge my presence. So I move over to the other register and line up behind a woman who has emptied her purse out onto the checkout lane, digging. Again, this place is all but empty of customers, just she and I checking out. From my new vantage point I can see back into the store, a big place. Suddenly, the absent checkout woman appears about 15 yards or so back into the store, glances over, then turns and busies herself. I dont think much of it at first. The entire affair felt rude, but who knows what additional duties store management may have loaded into their shifts. Then, again, I notice her glance. A look, then busy. And again. It drew my eye. And, suddenly, I recognize the pretense in her busyness. It was a sham. Ive worked enough jobs to know the difference; you could see it, and all the while shes edging closer. I realized, then, that she was timing her arrival at her register to my checkout turn. Simply making me wait. As I figured, she calls over to me about ten seconds before my turn arrives. I ignore her and check out, pretty pissed. And I still dont get it. Id never seen either of these women before. But I sure wont see them, again---at least not in that store---because Ill never go back.

Called to speak to someone about emailing in a file to be printed. Call #1: placed on hold and then hung up on with no contact. Call #2: told, "We dont do that." When I asked to speak to someone in the print center to confirm I was placed on hold and my call was never answered. Call #3: finally spoke to someone in the print center and he told me they dont accept files by email because its much more convenient for customers to bring their files into the store on USB drive and wait while they are printed... Umm no its not. Taking business elsewhere.

I went in looking for a laptop sleeve. The cashier said "I think theyre over there" and gestured generally toward the store. He said hed ask someone to come help me which took forever. When someone did show up he didnt know where they were either. When I found them the prices were not clearly marked. I left without purchasing anything .

Managers and staff at Office Depot on East Capitol Drive are excellent! Their patience, their concern for customer service and their diligence in making sure you are satisfied ..was above and beyond what was expected. Thank you Frank for your example as a manager to your staff how customer service really works ! Great customer service!

My husband and I both rely on Office Depot for office supplies. One area where Id like them to do better is pen refills, and bottled ink for fountain pens. But thats a pretty specialized item, and that they have any pen refills at all (because they do have some) amazes me.

My 4 year old granddaughter loves coming to this location at least once a week. Looking for sales or clearance items. She puts a desk chair at a desk to play her role as a secretary..but hates it when she comes back because they move her desk chair.

Sales lady sucks!. All she wants to do is make sales. Not knowing i had a degree in IT half the stuff she offered wasnt needed. Tried 2make me pay $150 to setup a PC that already had windows 10 on. DO NOT GO!!! Unless you know your stuff.

The service is terrible here. I always order my things online and they still dont get it right. Just make sure when you order online you double check your items. I dont like that location but the other one is too far
