I bought a washer on the 14th September from this store for my rental unit. They told me that it will be delivered on the 17th. When I ordered the washer, the sales guy asked me do you want the water pumps (connectors) and I said I have them at my home from my previous washer. The guy said okey. They informed me ahead of time that they are coming on the 17th. Now a guy shows up at the door on 17th afternoon and he says he cannot install the washer because washer and dryer are in the same small room and they cannot remove the dryer and without removing the dryer they cannot install washer. (NEVER MENTIONED ABOUT A CLEAN ROOM WHEN THE ARE ARRIVING) Guy left. Tenant knew about what happened and tenant removed the dryer and the installation is scheduled for the 19th. (Thats pretty good right?). They showed up on the 19th and the delivery guy said the order didnt include new water pumps and therefore they cannot install the pumps. And the delivery guy left the washer on in the laundry room without connecting. They charged for the delivery and installation $69.99. And it has not been done completely. The story doesnt end here. The tenant and I tried to connected the water pump and now the washer is leaking from the bottom. They delivered a broken piece of crap after all that trouble. I called outlet store number, sears customer service and delivery customer service you name it. Funny thing about the outlet store is, the guy placed me on hold and after holding on for 9 minutes, he just hung up without even talking a word. From the few calls that I made Sears customer service (Kim who refuses to give her last name) is telling me that since the item is broker at the delivery, they should deliver a new product. The catch is, since it is an outlet store, she cannot schedule that from the customer service line. I had to goto the outlet store to do this. All well sound good. I went to the store yesterday afternoon 20th. Almost a week from the day I placed the order for the washer. I showed the receipt and I told them that the washer is broker at the delivery time and I need a replacement ASAP. The guy at the counter goes to another guy and talked for few minutes and came back. And said, we dont have the same unit in the store. They have to place another order online. I said I dont need the same unit. I will pick, something from the store. I walked down the store aisle and finds the same unit in the store. The guy lied to me. Then I said, how about this. Then the next guy approaches. (Looks like manager - but I doubt it). He tells me that, No you cannot get a replacement unless a sears technician comes and take a look at the product. "In home warrant Home appliances" that they call it, says that product cannot be replaced without someone looking at it. Now I have to schedule another service appointment for the service guy to come and make an assessment. I called the customer service again, and they setup a technician visit today (21st) 8th day from the order and he will determine what can be done. Im not too far from filling a small claim against for the damages that has caused (time and money) against this store in the circuit court. Will keep you posted how it goes with the service guy and what happens next. Things are not done yet. My general feeling is, sears must be selling the damaged crap out of this store and they have the consumers sign this "in home warranty home appliance" trap so that they dont have to replace the product without really getting someone look at it and letting the customers go through this type of hassle. May be consumer protection agency should take a look at this. BTW, my item cannot fall under that category according to the agreement. Cos it was damaged during the delivery.

This has been the most horrific experience with any retailer ever. All we ordered was a refrigerator. Then the nightmare started. First they send a delivery crew from XPO that brought a damaged refrigerator and started threatening us in our own house. I called the police at 911 who came and got these thugs out of my house. They were threatening my wife and my child. We had to move out of the house and wait for the police in order to move into our house!!! After this event the XPO company that does the deliveries for Sears apologized and they said they were going to rectify. So they delivered a second time another damaged refrigerator!!!! This time they took pictures and they said that next time they will bring a new door for the refrigerator and not exchange it!!! Well there has not been next time as they still keep trying and lying to us that they will deliver the refrigerator, having us stay home all day long and they never deliver. This has been going on for 4 weeks now. Deplorable service by Sears and XPO

The prices at Sears Outlet can not be beat. However, they make up for it with their lack of customer service, patience, or ease of working with customers. They delayed our initial fridge delivery a week after purchase, after being very unclear about several points in the process. Now, only a few months after the purchase, the fridge is not staying cool, and they were more than willing to brush it off on simple problems before waiting another week to come out. Lucky for us its not our only fridge. Though we were considering a washer and dryer in the relative near future, its unlikely well be buying from them again.

Purchased a stove and fridge from the outlet. Got home with my measurements and fridge was too big for the space. The manager easily refunded my transaction of the fridge quickly and without any issues. Manager Nick had great customer service and gets 5 stars for this! 4 stars as the facility seemed a bit understaffed the Saturday I was there . I am also having the stove delivered and installed but cannot speak to this service as I am waiting to have it delivered in a few weeks. Overall, good experience and nice place to take a look when you are shopping around for appliances.

A whole delivery debacle, which included us waiting at home for hours, could have been alleviated by simply leaving an explanatory message the first time someone called us. The manager did kindly offer to waive the delivery charge. But quite honestly we would have preferred not to have the headache/frustration. We have purchased multiple items from the store in Darien and have never had such an unprofessional and unsatisfactory experience.

Vikki, Store Manager, and her staff were outstanding in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, and staying within our budget! We received for high end appliances for a great price! The delivery and hook up for 3 appliances was done in less than an hour AND bonus they took away our old appliances. We are so delighted with our new appliances and YOU WILL TOO!
