My family and I had one of the most interesting and amazing trips to Home Depot last night as a result of the amazing staff that was so attentive to our questions about products and due to their general uplifting nature of the way the played with our two small children. My wife and I went to the Home Depot Store in South Elgin, IL to get our hands on some of the appliances as we are looking to replace our kitchen. We were lugging along with us 2 children, ages 3 and 4.5. The staff in the appliance section, especially Dedra Bagby and her team, were absolutely amazing. They spent well over an hour answering our numerous questions, playing hide and seek with our kids, even getting them Little Home Depot Aprons and "employing" them to help with some tasks. It was absolutely amazing and uplifting to have such an experience and the kids had a blast. And to top it off, one of the managers made the kids a wooden truck and airplane. How amazing is that?! Im not sure if this is a corporate push to improve guest relations, or if these guys just went way above and beyond. But it was awesome. Even as I write this, I get chills, and I am a pretty smug kind of guy. We will be purchasing our kitchen from Home Depot. Just know how much my wife and I appreciate your team and what you do. It was like hanging out with family you dont get to see often, the fun kind of family that you wish lived closer, not the grumpy kind that crap on Christmas. Kudos!!!

Worst customer service ever. Im a plumbing contractor with a pro account. I ordered a ridgid tool from them said no problem getting it. Was told no need to pay till it arrived. I waited like two weeks never heard anything back so I decided to call. When I got in touch with them they said yes I see that you were ordering something but before we can place the order you need to pay in advance. Ok no problem so I paid. Waited another two weeks decided to call see what was up cause I never heard from them again. They told me they had tried to get it from different stores in the area but no one had it. They told me they showed other stores had it but they really didnt. Wow when this began I called Home Depot on line they had told me that it wasnt a on line item and had to be purchased from a store which led me to my home depot in my area. we had a three way call and everything was suppose to be taken care of. I ended up going myself to the home depot store where they said they couldnt get it from. I will no longer go to this South Elgin Home Depot. Employees just stand around with there finger in you know where and look dumb founded. Like who are all these people.

Generally, we hate shopping at Home Depot because it is difficult to get help or find things so we normally went to the local Ace Hardware. That is not the case with this store. This Home Depot has become my preferred hardware store and we have found the knowledge and customer support to be outstanding: far better than the Ace Hardware at this point. Whether buying a gas grill, Christmas tree, or bolts we have always had very knowledgeable people helping us - what a turn around from previous HD experiences! Store clerks will often escort us to the proper location and then help us find the exact thing we want. At times, the people working there are almost too helpful because several people will see us in the store and want to see if they can help or get us to the right location. Would definitely recommend THIS Home Depot.

Had Excellent service from the young men in the garden department. Was there getting large bricks for a retaining wall and the two young men walked up, asked if I needed help and proceeded to load the flat cart and then put 150 heavy bricks into my truck. Thanks so much gentlemen. Home Depot was well staffed and I had a speedy checkout! Well done

20 minutes to find an electrical person, site personnel very complacent, no proactive help in the store. Could not locate leaf bags, not sure why its that difficult being leaf season. When asked, the store manager said the bags were outside in garden center. Lost sale!

Ive been to larger locations but the elgin location had horrible service. Coming here I have a smaller selection but the service makes up for that. Ive never had a single bad experience here and get smiles from everyone. This is my new go to home improvement store.

I choose home depot over all other hardware stores for most of my basic building needs. Menards has certain things I choose to get. But home depot contractor program is a lot better and less hassle.

Dont ever get anything installed by this company. Siding has been a nightmare, still waiting for them to get their act together and we are 2 months in. Contract protects only them not the customer.

Staff is pretty helpful most people find the time but occasionally I run into a person that has no idea where things are or anything about the department they are in.

Nice home depot. Large layout with plenty of space to maneuver. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful.

They locked the doors at 9:55. I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was, I would have been out by 10:00.

Card holder and spend ALOT of money there. No deals/discounts. Im going elsewhere.
