Very pleased with quality and service. The staff here has always been great. I havent been to the Lisle location, but the Rt. 59 location has always been a great help. Bought two hybrid bicycles (7300 mens + 7100 womens) and a Burley DLite trailer near the end of Spring. I have not brought a bike in for a tune up yet, but will soon when my free 90-day tune up arrives. We walked in yesterday to pick up a hitch rack and the same person, I think his name is Russ helped us out on choosing a rack. What surprised us was that he still remembered who we were. He started with the most expensive to the cheapest, explaining the pros and cons of each. After we made our choice, he put the parts together out of the box and installed the hitch rack to our van. Couldnt ask for a better service.

Just picked up a bike on craigslist with a slipping rear wheel. I read the glowing reviews listed here and brought it here for service. I made the mistake of letting him know I was only here temporarily and gave him my out of state phone number. I knew from my bike back home that changing the rear gear to a new wheel and bring over tire and tube should be about $65 from my local bike shop in Baltimore, $50 for the wheel and $15 labor and parts less than 3 weeks ago. The wheel here was $65 and $20 for labor. I was hesitant but told him to go ahead. Got a message , sorry it needed an extra part and the plastic guard could not be swapped and that guard would be an extra $3. I walked out with my new wheel, old gear set and new plastic guard for $101 tax included. I will not be back.

Ive being going to Bicycles Etc. for years, and have purchased three bikes there (Trek 7100 Hybrid, Gary Fisher hybrid for the kid to use in college, and just recently, a Trek Madone 3.1). Prices are just OK, but Ill pay a little more at a family-owned business where the staff is friendly, professional and know what theyre doing. They take their time fitting the bike. Repairs and tune-ups are done fairly quickly and Ive never had to bring a bike back for a make-good. The shop in Lisle is smaller, but has a a great restaurant next door (Country House). Rt. 59 store is much larger and has all the toys.

Great service, great bikes. While Im here for another summer at Fermilab, I decided to get into road biking. Guss (pretty sure thats his name) helped me out, and I got a great financial plan with them too. I always go back to them, I feel they definitely work hard to earn my returning service. Sure it might be more expensive than other places for servicing, as I am from New Mexico and its practically dirt cheap, but here you have to realize that EVERYTHING is more expensive. I definitely recommend them.

I purchased a bike at another store and returned it because they did not have what I wanted, and I settled for something I did not like. After shopping at several bike stores for a new Cannondale, I purchased here because of the great selection and advice. Russ, the manager, took the time to help me get the bike I wanted, and he also took the time to set up the bike and to go thru how to use it properly. My new bike is awesome and I am very happy with the exceptional service here. Highly recommended!

Went to the Naperville shop off RT 59 by Aurora Ave. Had a back rim that needed to be trued. After hearing the technicians at Bike Line in Naperville tell me this rim is Bad & cheap (I knew it was not cheap & Aeroheat makes great wheels). The owner looked at the rim & said "No Problem but it will take 2 days". Days later the wheel was ready straight as new charged $20 when Bike Line wanted me to go spend $400 for a new rim I didnt need ! I give this shop a Big Thumbs up for service / trust .

I went here to buy a bike for my son. The sales guy was busy helping another customer, so I waited for him to become available. When he finished, he walked right past me to help the guy who had come in 5 minutes after me. Then, he turned around and rudely told my son to stop touching the bikes: he was trying out the one we intended to purchase. I walked right out and have never returned. Since then, Ive been a loyal customer of Performance Bicycle up the street.

Went to the Naperville shop with my Fuji cyclocross because my shoulders were getting really tired and sore after long rides. Russ took one look at me on my bike and knew exactly what to do. I left 40 minutes later a happy bicyclist with happy shoulders! Also saw my next purchase - a road bike with a reasonable price! Returned again, this time with foot numbness while riding. Russ was great - provided an easy fix that didnt cost anything.

I cant say enough great things about the attention and assistance I received at this shop! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and even called me after I had already left to tell me that I had another color option for the bike I ordered. They let you try out bikes behind the store, explaining the pros and cons of each, and really give you time to think about your choice. Double thumbs up for Bicycles Etc.!

I brought my bike there for an issue I had with the bottom bracket. Russ charged me $80 for a service but never repaired the problem. I took the bike home and immediately noticed the issue remained. Russ claimed he test rode it but that seemed impossible since I barely made it home. I asked for a refund and that was denied. Incompetent, expensive and inferior customer communication skills combined with lots of bs.

Ive been into this store twice in the last few weeks. Both times (with different store reps) I was treated great. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They let me test ride several bikes. They answered all my newbie type questions, and gave me all kinds of options to think about. I know they want the sale, but they truly seemed concerned that I find the right bike. Ill be back soon!

He even added some spacers that made the wheel turn better. All this was done at no charge! Awesome experience! Me and my little guy are both vey happy! Thanks Greg!

I went in to get my chain replaced on my Trek Verve 3. Ron was great and got it done quickly and well. He also chatted with me for about 15 minutes answering my questions. Really great shop! I would totally recommend it!

I bright my bike in to get a new chain. They told me my cog was bent so I have to get a new sprocket a so not knowing about bikes I got a new one. Later I find out all you have to do is bend sprocket back into place.

Highly recommend their repair shop at BE. I like some of the gear at their competitors to the north, but for repairs theres no question between the two - BE is thorough, communicative, and reasonably speedy.
