Ahhh mc Garth Audi! You would think being an Audi dealership they would have a reputation to uphold and a exceptional buying experience. Having bought 8 cars in my life this was the worst buying experience ever. If you want to drop your hard earned money on a car that was supposedly in 135 point inspection and walk away only to find out the car needs $5k in repairs youve come to the right place. Where to begin. I went into Audi to look at a used BMW with 6k miles on it. At first everything was going great. I was back in the lobby waiting for an appraisal on my trade in. While waiting and negotiating with the salesman on a fair price me and my wife sat through and listened to a verbal cursing match between our salesman Gene and the finance manager. Every swear word in the book was used. After a good 15 min of this unprofessionalism the salesman apparently walked out of the dealership resigning. 2 min later comes back and apologizes about what happened acting as thought it was no big deal. Since it was already past 930 I just wanted to get the deal over with take the car and leave. We finally agreed on a price and I was able to leave the dealership. You would think weve experience the worst of it and I would never have to look back or deal with them again.... Wrong. I immediately scheduled a maintenance appointment with my local BMW dealership(within the first week I had the car) to get oil change/tire rotation/fix parking break that was loose. After a week at BMW I get a call from them stating the car had been in a severe off road accident that caused extensive damage to bottom of the vehicle with bent heat shields / plastics zip tied together to keep them away from moving parts and the worst part was that the loose hand break was due to a poor mechanic repair job that could have cause the rear tires to lock up at anytime while driving(clean car fax btw with no accident). They deemed the car undrivable and Audi let me take it off the lot with the supposed 135 point inspection performed. $5k worth of work!!!! and what happened when I called Audi? Claimed they had no idea. Wouldnt take car back either. They sold me a death trap to drive my family around in. Great job McGrath Audi! For the first week they asked me to get a quote from BMW with all the parts needed and estimates but once they sow the number they claimed that there mechanic didnt see anything while they had the car (covering his ass) and it wasnt in the budget. (Hoping the law suit Im filling will be) I hope everyone reading this is careful with any car they buy from them. New car you probably have nothing to worry about except for crappy customer service. If its a used car though dont believe anything they say about an inspection and ask to take the car yourself to a shop for that. Unless you are in the market for a death trap for you and loved ones. Last time I step foot into any McGrath dealership. Wish they had the option for 0 stars cause 1 is giving them too much credit

Lets face it, the typical car buying experience is usually an unpleasant one. Most people dont look forward to it. So when I was recently assigned the daunting task of purchasing a new car, my expectations were very low. Needless to say I walked into Audi of Morton Grove expecting the worst. But then I met Dan H., and all I can say is that he completely erased all the preconceived notions in a matter of minutes. So much so that I felt obligated to share my experience so that others out there thinking about buying an Audi will go see Dan H. and the McGrath Family of Morton Grove. From the moment I walked in Dan H. went above and beyond to make sure I was 100 satisfied with my buying experience. In fact, I never once felt pressured to actually buy a car. I consider myself a fairly knowledgeable buyer, so I did my research before actually stepping in. What impressed me most about Dan H. was his knowledge of the Audi product. And when I told him about the other cars I was considering, not once did he bash the competition. I was totally impressed with his level of professionalism. Dan Hs low pressure, no nonsense approach was very much appreciated. In fact, I showed up very late due to work constraints and before I knew it, the store was closed. Yet there was Dan, still answering questions and allowing me to go out on test drives. Not once did I give him the impression that I was buying a car that evening. And quite frankly, he never asked. But my mind was made up, and even after the store was closed we sat down and discussed numbers. I honestly cant say we even negotiated. I gave him a price I had in mind and before I knew it, we shook hands and shortly thereafter I was in the finance office signing paperwork. By this time it was probably 11pm and there was Dan H., waiting in the delivery area to go over the entire vehicle with me again. 11pm and he never gave me the impression that he had to leave. In fact, I thanked him for sticking around so late and offered to come back another day to go over the features. He asked me if I was tired, to which I replied, not really. So there we were, the car sale already complete, and Dan H. going through the setup of the new car. If youre in the market for a luxury car, looking for a great deal and want an all around amazing experience please go see Dan H. at Audi in Morton Grove and the McGrath Family. I promise you will never once feel like youre actually buying a car. And thats a great thing! Dan has even reached out to me after the purchase to make sure everything is going well. The entire dealership sets the standard for what car buying should be. And Dan H. is a prime example of that dedication and professionalism. Thank you Dan H. and thank you to the entire McGrath family of dealerships. Youve earned a customer for life.

Service is really bad. They wont take care of their customers well. Every time I take my vehicle in for service, I have terrible experience with Norberto (service guy). I always make my appointments in advance. My vehicles MMI main Control knob (a ring) was broken. I told Norberto replace it . He said it is not covered under warranty, You have to pay around $1100.00 to replace the whole unit. Next time, when I took my vehicle for service, I asked another service guy(Jason), He also told me ,you have to pay $1100.00 to replace it. Audi wont cover it. After hearing from two service guys, I called Audi customer care. They took care of my issue without paying 1100.00 dollars from my pocket to Mc Grath. Second incident: I had an issue with the drivers side headlight (moisture build up inside the headlight) in my vehicle. The service guy ( Norberto) told me It is a common issue and it will go away within 24 hours. I waited more than 24 hours. Then I took my vehicle to MC Grath . Norberto told me "We need to replace the headlight and we have to order it". So I made an appointment with Norberto to replace it. After two days I drove up there, then one of the service guys told me that the parts are not in. I just wasted my time to drive up there and then this guy tells me that the parts are not in yet. Neither Norberto or the other service guys made no effort to call me and say that the parts arent in. I asked Norberto why he did not call me and inform about it. He made a stupid excuse saying, "Sorry I was not there on that day" . Then I have to make an another appointment to replace the driver side headlight. Funny thing is these people made no effort to call me or send an email regarding these issues. Third incident: My passenger side sun visor came off. I took my vehicle to McGrath and they temporarily fixed that issue. Again they said they have to order parts for the visor. After two months I got a call from Frank saying your order is in and you can bring your vehicle in. AGAIN I MADE AN APPOINTMENT to fix the issue. I brought my vehicle in to fix the sun visor. When I got there, Norberto told me that they had fixed the sun visor issue earlier". If they fixed that issue earlier why did Frank call me? Once again nobody from the service department made any effort to call me. I only knew that when I got there. I asked Norberto, "Why does it state in my service record that you placed an order to fix the visor?" . If they replaced parts earlier, they should have informed me about that. Lie after lie. Keep in mind, I have a new vehicle that is covered under warranty for 4 yrs/50,000 miles.
