Please note this is not negative against the Menards store itself, but the contracted Delivery service they utilize. I purchased a sectional from Menards and then paid the $50 to deliver it. The delivery guys tossed it around in the truck and while putting in in my garage (they will not deliver into the house unless you pay another $69 per item). When we moved the sectional in the house and unwrapped the heavy plastic and other covering. There was a tear in the upholstery on one piece of the sectional, the underneath of the other piece was torn and the two brackets that lock the sectional together-one bracket totally fell off and couldnt be put back on without cutting the upholstery, the other bracket was barely hanging on. The Menards employees quickly handled getting a replacement and re-delivery free of charge. I asked that since it was damaged during delivery and I wouldnt be able to get anyone to assist moving into my house, I would need the delivery guys to do it without charge. The manager who I spoke with said he would talk to them, but couldnt guarantee. Well the day of the rescheduled delivery, an employee didnt note the time of my delivery was suppose to be between 4-6 and I got a call from the RUDE delivery guy about 11:12 am. I explained to them it was scheduled in store for between 4-6 and they will need to come back, they said they wouldnt. I told them then you better talk to Ray the Manager. They did return later in the day, because the other employee screwed up the time for the rescheduled replacement delivery. When they arrived, I said you need to remove the damaged and bring the new one in. They told me no, they would put it in my garage. I said that is not acceptable, the manager was suppose to talk to them, and I said you need to call and talk to him, otherwise, you can take the damaged and the replacement back and I will request a refund. So in the end they brought the replacement in, but purposely banged the pieces going out and in through my door and against my railing and didnt watch out for my foyer hanging light. Nothing got damaged, but it sure appeared as if they were hoping something would because they were mad that had to bring the new one in. So either rent your own truck and pick up large items, but never use the contracted delivery service they are horrible.

Didnt have anything I was looking for. Even basic things like laundry detergent and fabric softner. Very disappointed. And the customer service to try and help me find a specific cleaning product I needed was atrocious. One person passed me off to another and to another and no one could give me a straight forward answer. Left and went to home depot... where they had everything I was looking for and more then enough knowledgeable customer service employees waiting and willing to help. Done with menards... Im a home depot girl now!

Today was my first time going to Menards in my entire life, believe it or not. There is a Home Depot right down my street , so why travel the extra mile? But my friend told me about the mail in rebates they are doing at Menards so I went to Gurnee to give it a try and I am glad I did. Mark from the pluming department answered all of my questions and took his time to show me around and was very patient. I was impressed with his customer service skills. I am thankful for him and his knowledge. I will most definitely visit again.

I came to customer service for returning the bostitch flooring hand nailer which is useless for me and since I didnt have the receipt they said they going to look for it and its going to take like 3 to 4 weeks to find the receipt for the tool. but I have to leave the tool at the store. Which is absurd to me. If Im not getting any money or store credit why I should left the tools at the store ? Its just ridiculous.

This store gives menards a bad name. Sorry, if I could have given them zero stars I would have. Most unorganized place I have been to. had to ask 5 different people where one item was at, and then when I got there, they kept sending me back and forth through different areas. And I had to leave with no item. Very unprofessional. Ill be sure to make the extra trip to Antioch next time.

Really great that as soon as I walk Thur the door the customer service representative help me with what I needed. To me that is really appreciate due I am handicap and you have no idea how that helps me and it is really really thankful for that. Thank you.

I needed to look at mail boxes, one associate walked away when I asked for help, one had no clue if they carried them and sent me to the other side of the store, and a third said they dont have them... So I left. Home Depot had what I needed.

I recently went to this store to get a quote for kitchen cabinets, the guy made blueprint and everything was fine, till he said that most of the cabinets need to be special order & wait for 10 days. Head to cancel orders. Very disappointed!
