There is a lot in this little store. And you get service and help. However I think the prices are high. And I wish the employees would just tell me where something is rather than asking what im going to use it for. I know what im using it for, and am sick of them thinking they can do it better. I appreciate the desire to help, but sometimes they just wont let it drop and im always in a rush when working on something.

Bought few it small items, couple of them were the wrong due to the lack of knowledge of what the man who helped me know. ( shaved head older guy) went back to return the wrong items Ive got, and the same guy was so rude as I committed a crime returning it. He even said with a bad attidude " whatever" when I asked for my receipt back as it was other purchases on it.. What a rude service.. Never back there again.

Sure you can save a couple bucks by going to Home Depot, but you will never get the service there or anywhere else that you get at Downer Hardware. Super helpful always available staff. Im in and out in a couple minutes usually and they have a surprisingly good selection of everything.

Surprising amount of items for not being a big box store. Employees are great and keep the feeling of being such a great street. Love being able to come to them with a question or getting the random tool I need.
