@Shahin. Your review didnt even make sense. You were sent to Elgin by another location. Its hardly the fault of the Elgin store that another customer bought something they had out for sale. Maybe your other Menards should have called to check or called to have your item held for you. Youve only posted three reviews and all of them are negative. Maybe you ought to reevaluate your own sense of entitlement. Ive only had one poor experience at Menards and the employee didnt last very long. Everyone at Menards is knowledgeable and friendly.

I came into contact with 3 employees in the store today. The first one had a great suggestion on how to solve my problem and walked to the location of the item. The second was a pleasant cashier who offered me extra bags so the bricks I bought could sit on top of them rather than in my car. The third guy was the cart guy he saw me loading bricks and helped me without asking and then returned my cart ...Wow! Amazing experience top to bottom. Thats rare these days thats why I love my Menards!

What can I say, it is menards. They do what they do very well. They stock what you need, a lot of what you dont. And I am a sucker for the impulse buys here. I mean, so doesnt want a 350 lumen Led flashlight with a magnet so you can stick it places? Or some Little Debbie snack dates, or some Sprechers Rootbeer when you are buying your real hardware. They keep you coming back with their rebates you can only spend in store. All in all, they are a knowledgeable and helpful bunch.

I wanted to purchase 24 folding chairs @ $ 17.98 a pop. They had a bulk discount if you purchase 12 or more. This store only had 6 in stock. The manager would not allow a store transfer or to purchase the bulk at his store and pick up elsewhere, they would not even place a hold at a different location. On top of that I was planning to buy $140.00 in tables. Im very disappointed in the accommodations to good paying customers. I guess thats why I shop at the Home Depot.

Menards Plumbing in Elgin IL is the best! They came through for my company again. I needed 100 feet of 1.25" corrugated sump line and they were able to special order it for me. I had been told no such pipe was available at other stores, but they made a few calls and made it happen. Menards Plumbing, you rock! Thank you for going the extra mile.

purchased the water fountain paid in full they sent me to elgin store for 1 hr drive for the item that was sold. mgr." and general mgr. both they did not want to take responsibility. it is not my lost, will spent the mony on lowes or home depot. i will not recomend menards specially these two locations

This place is a go to for anybody that does subcontracting the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Enough stuff to keep my wife busy while Im trying to get my Contracting stuff and not to hard to find someone for help like some of the other big hardware stores prices always reasonable

I agree with the gentleman below. My husband rented a truck from our neighborhood Menards on Friday. When he took it back, the young clerk was snippy and rude. My husband is a really nice guy, so, for him to tell me that story out loud...it must have been pretty bad.

Menards is nice to shop at, they carry a lot of different things. All kinds of Food, paper products, plastic products, pots & pans and much more. Its not just a lumber yard and tools like most of the other ones. It worth looking at for many other things.

Its your typical Menards store. The layout can be a bit confusing, but the employees are very helpful. When they lack the knowledge themselves, they are very good at bringing someone who has the knowledge into the conversation.

Very disrespectful management. I was yelled at by a very young employee because asked if we could load my merchandise quickly. Staff seems more interested in talking to other employees then helping coustomers.

I like their products and floor staff, but I usually buy only what I need at the Elgin Menards. I dont like being forced to bag my purchases while the cashier stands there watching me.
