Its a shame I have to give this store a negative review. This used to be my "go to store" for any house item repairs, even though I had a Home Depot closer to my house. Spent close to a grand in material with the ultimate goal of redoing my deck. I was able to rent a pick up truck and I was able to transport it for the first two trips (40 boards total). Eventually, I ran out of wood and had to back to the store. This time only bought 5 boards, but when it came time to rent a truck again they would not allow me to do it. The young lady over the counter said that the boards I was planning on transporting were too long . I was in disbelief since I was able to pick up the same boards last week. So, I asked to speak with a manager. Matt, the manager, came to talk me. Well, Matt hardly listened to my issue and offered no solution whatsoever. In fact, I was the one looking for a solution, but this manager did not seem to care. I ended renting a truck from Home Depot. So, if you ever need to transport long boards DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Go to Home Depot where they assist you with all your needs. Wont spend a single dollar at this store ever again.

I had bought my son a windmill via Menards ship to store service. Come Christmas day, the windmill was broken. On attempt to return, despite having a receipt I was told I could only have the last sale price because it was a seasonal item. One I didnt know it was a seasonal item and two it was DEFECTIVE!!. I asked to talk with a manager and first was given Jon... who apparently wasnt a manager, but then got Matt who alledgedly was the manager. He made no attempt to make this situation right, because I wanted the windmill, he didnt offer to contact other stores, he didnt offer to have it fixed, he just wanted to give me the sale price refund..... and he never ONCE made eye contact me with me.Why is this right? I had the receipt. I paid full price, it was defective.. oh an by the way Matt "the manager" wanted to know why I didnt make sure it was broken before Christmas...so are Menards consumers meant to do inventory control for Menards??? I asked him why was Menards selling defective items??? No response. Please I ask anyone reading this, to not shop at Menards.

I have ordered baseboards on 06/05/17 and I was told that the order will be available in a week, I came for a pick up on 06/23/17 and the order wasnt available still. I was told that the order will be in 06/30/17, so I called a day prior 06/29/17 to check if it is in, and the gentlemen checked that it was available on 06/24/17. So on 06/30/17 my contractor came for a pick up and it is not available. What did I pay for? Im very upset with a service!!! I have to pay my contractor for coming in for a pick up twice and it is still not there. OMG!!! I dont want to deal with this store anymore. They dont care about confirmation email!!! very bad service!

Pleasant Black Friday Shopping? Its not impossible after all. All the employees knew where every item was located, not just the ones "in their department." Yes there were long lines. Helpful smiling staff directed you to the shortest line at the time and coordinated with other staff to send people from other longer lines. All but one item was in stock 2 hours in to their sale. But my favorite part, they honor their employees and allow them to spend ALL of Thanksgiving with their families by opening only on Black Friday. No wonder their staff are friendly.

Thanks for the worning. I went to a different Menards to buy a ladder and they could not sell it to me because they could not find the SKU code. Whe nthe manager finally found a code and the clerk rang it up so i could pay the code was for a paint brush. Thats when I left without the ladder. When is Menards going to wake-up and start hiring people that can actually provide some customer service. Paying the lowest wages does not always improve the bottom line. Something that they dont teach in the MBA programs

This store is amazing. It is one of the best organized and orderly hardware stores ever. Even the most cluttered areas (think nuts and bolts) look like the store just had their grand opening. It is large and every department has an amazing array of products and selections. Its the only place I go and probably why the Home Depot down the street is a ghost town and why the Loews across from the HD closed after only 3 years.

Disappointed with the manager in charge telling me they cant ring up a propane tank In side the store at the register. ..I have to go outside to purchase one...sends me outside and tells me I have to find someone to help me at their propane area...I moved on to home depot....Never will enter that menards again.....since that fiasco I have easily spent 1500 at home depot down the street

Horrible return policy, rude staff, and arrogant mangers. Needed auto bulbs, the only box available was open, warped from water damage and they wouldnt discount!? This was the last straw. My previous visit, Id misplaced my receipt on items purchased just the day before and they offered me the lowest price theyd ever offered! HALF OF WHAT I PAID JUST THE DAY BEFORE! SUCK MNARDS...

This place is huge! with a great selection. They pretty much have anything you might be looking for. their lawn and garden area is really well stocked. the lumber yard is great as well. They offer some pretty good deals so take a look out for coupons and rebates being offered. the staff is friendly and always willing to help and they know what they are talking about.

Alway get good services, things are easy to find and parking is so huge. All around, this is the best place for home improvements in the area. Very easy return procedures even when you loose the receipt...easy, scan your card with the machine that you used to purchase and bamm... you ready to move on. it makes lines shorter :).

Again I purchased a sale item (Friskies party mix) on sale for 2$,was charged 2.63...Not worth my time to go back and complain.This has happened numerous times.You would think I would learn to check my receipt or frequent another store. (HOME DEPOT MAYBE??)

The staff here were very friendly and helpful. We had an odd question about flooring and they gave us several options (with the chance to return product) and even phone numbers of contractors if it ended up being too large of a project for us to handle.

I have always found the employees to be very helpful. The store seems to be well managed as the employees are top notch. Special shot out to the plumbing dept. I got a nice double vanity 2 years ago and its holding up well.
