I like buying at Rural King, it is very convenient and I would give it a four star. The one star is for my last visit on Saturday. There was a guy at a table, handling out tickets for you to put your name and number on it. I guess the giveaway was for a gift card. Anyway, I asked him if this was for Rural King...since there was no sign about this giveaway at the table. He starts by saying the "newspaper" and they would not give your number away...Right. Once that " newspaper" gets your number, you will get endless barrages of phone calls to subscribe I dont have 300.00 or more dollars to sub for a newspaper a year. I dont like it that RK allows this baiting of peoples name and number and the guy doesnt discloses right away what it is for or even has a BIG sign or any sign to let you know. I guarantee that if folks knew, no one would fill the thing out. That bowl of his was almost half full. Get ready for the robo calls.

I recently had two very bad experience at this location. (1)- An employee was extremely rude to another special needs employee, when I confronted her about the inappropriate behavior she accused me of being the rude one. I told her that I was not going to spend money with a company that would allow the employees to treat each other in the way she just did. She told me if I had an issue we could speak with a manager - I refused as I was disgusted with her behavior. When I was leaving I called and expressed my concerns and issues with my experience to the manager. The Manager did apologize and said that he would look into the issue. Fast forward two months and I called this location over (10) times in the past two days and not one person answered the phone.

Prefer Rural King over Home Depot or Lowes. Its easier to find help and the prices are much better. They even have high end dog food, which saves me a trip to the Doggie Boutique. Prices for dog products are also less expensive than PetSmart or PetCo. Crates can be as much as half of what you would pay at those places. I really like Rural King. Plain, simple interior=no exhorbitent price mark-ups. I am an upper middle class professional and I would rather keep as much of my money as possible instead of giving it to a store with ambience, too many products, trying to run down someone to help.

Im not happy I got hired here for a maintenance job after working for 2 pay checks I got laid off from work because of the corporate severely cutting part timers oh yea who cares we just have problems paying the utility bills but whatever!!! havent worked since the 11th of this month and its August 28th and still no hours until maybe next Thursday when they print the next schedule out seriously about to quit after a month of no work there dont apply here if your looking for a steady job as a part timer

I go there regularly, they have items you just cant find anywhere else. As for the phone calls well, I have never had an issue. I recently called about a belt for a lawn mower. I was quickly transferred to that Dept. I was placed on hold for a few minutes, not only did the person verify they had the belt I needed but they also put it at the service counter for me. All I had to do was go there and purchase.

Love the store BUT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK IN AN HOUR BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS ON LUNCH...AFTER CALLING BACK 3 TIMES AN BEING ON HOLD FOR 15 MINS EACH

The registers kept breaking down, there was a long line and they wouldnt open up anymore registers. The place was dirty and run down. Will NOT be going back.
