Today is a very sad day for me. I went into my favorite floral shop that I have been loyal to for TWO YEARS and was rudely told by the female owner and some other young lady that they do not give away soil nor do they help pot plants here. Now, this is my first encounter like this because as far as Im concerned the manager Lori and Lauren have helped me numerous times with both. No, I do not expect anything to be free.. I have paid for the pot. I have paid for the dirt. Quite frankly, I will pay for all of tools so long as I dont have to have a huge bag of soil in my 400 sq foot studio. I have referred several friends to this place. I even thought that someday I would have a wedding reception in this venue. Not. Any. More. Im very sad that I will no longer be spending any time nor money at this establishment and its all thanks to the owner who has no customer service skills and the lack of respect (minus Lori and Lauren) her staff shows. Must be the reason for the fast turn over. Im assuming based on the reviews that I am not the only one to complain about her or the other staff members. See ya later New Leaf....Hello, Green.Inc!

I must say, I love his place for the flower selection and the older gentleman that is always very engaging. Unfortunately, today I went in, and thought I would by myself some flowers since this is a tough personal day for me and I wanted a pick me up gift to myself. The young woman working at the front end of the shop was very rude and not happy to be helpful. What a strange disposition for someone working in a flower shop, I thought. She had attitude and a sarcastic inflection with everything she said. I cant say I wont be back - but as a note to the hiring manager and owner: she was just plain nasty. I didnt stay to ask her name (long brown hair and glasses with her eyes glued to her cell phone) and I went to Green, which greeted me warmly and I made my purchase there.

They do great work at a New Leaf. As an Old Town resident its a frequent place that I stop to pick up flowers for the Mrs on special occasions or just because (awww) The prices are what you expect for Old Town (high) but the flowers are fresh and if you want to save a few bucks buy the day before flowers that they usually keep outside the store.

This is a great little store with a nice feel and pretty good selection of plants and loose cut flowers. If you dont find what you are looking for, you can walk the 3-4 blocks further north on Wells to their other store location. Staff is very friendly.

Stop by often since its across the street and a new leaf always has a great selection of fresh flowers and creative bouquet ideas. When my husband gets me flowers they have a beautiful presentation and last for a while.

Best flower shop in Chicago. You get a huge selection. A $50 bouquet is huge and lasts a long time. Reasonable prices too.
