Hobby Lobby in Carbondale, Illinois provides a complete retail store specializing in artist goods (e.g. tubes of paint, canvasses, etc.) and items for crafting. It has very beautiful aesthetic items such as artificial flowers, vases, etc. In fact, the entire store is centered around shoppers with aesthetic tastes. Nevertheless, the Hobby Lobby Company is owned and operated by religious persons whose proclivities include closing the place on Sundays, and a store-centered environment that will not abide customers using bad language. In addition, occasionally some of the store managers are rather rude and difficult. On the other hand, the framing department is top rate!

Most terrible employees!! I was just browsing down an isle and an employee came up to me out of nowhere got in my face and said that my kind didnt belong in the store, that I needed to leave because I was snooping! Along with other terrible things! I was walking down an isle with a cart shopping! Terrible experience! I told the manager Jason what had happened in detail and everything she had said to me and all he said was "ok I will talk to her" like what?!? Nothing no apologies nothing! I dont know what her problem was Im just a white 22 year old girl trying to buy bins! And I had no cultural clothing on just a black tee shirt and jeans!

Amazing!! I love Hobby Lobby! This is the place for artists, home decorators, holidays enthusiasts and more. Im an artist myself, and I get everything from here. They have a large variety of sketch books, sketching pencils, oil pastels, colors, paints, everything. I also get some of my wall decorations here. I love crafting, and I get yarn and embroidery thread here, too, along with everything for my scrapbook (they have decorated paper, Mod Podge, stickers, everything.) They have EVERYTHING, in all categories.

Hobby Lobby is the best source for craft supplies and decorative items for the home in our area. I highly respect this company for allowing its employees off on Sundays, unheard of these days in major retail chains, to have a chance to relax and worship with their families. Their selection is wide and of good quality, plus I adore the beautiful music thats always playing as I shop.

Although with the coupon app, you can get good deals, this place is often over priced for the quality of items gotten. Staff can be really rude, although that might have to do with the way managment treats them. Selection is decent if you look at it as a whole, but the selection of many departments can be sadly lacking.

Its an acceptable craft store. There a few unfriendly staff people including managers, and theres frequent times when Ive ask questions and no one has been able to answer them. The store is kept clean and well organized, and theres always a 40% off one item coupon available through their website.

Prices was a little higher than I thought even though there was half off discount signs stuff was still kind of spendy that was my second time shopping at Hobby Lobby, not sure if Ill make another trip there when I can find stuff that I bought at the Dollar Tree for a dollar
