On November 8, 2015, my husbands watch and clock club will meet for their annual luncheon. It is my job to make centerpieces for each table, seating 4, generally 7-10 tables. My first stop was Hobby Lobby, the new store on the block. After entering the store, I was directed to the floral department and was told that Norma could help me. However, Norma was at lunch so Amanda said she would help me until Norma returned. My theme for the centerpieces was cotton bowls. Amanda went right to work with her ideas, gathering items to show me what I could use, ribbon, pumpkins, lights, etc. Then Norma returned and added more helpful ideas to the project, and in no time my project had been designed. They really knew how to be creative immediately, and they acted like it was not a job, but a fun challenge. I visited Hobby Lobby today and was surprisingly disappointed. I go to craft stores for yarn and the selection wasnt what I expected at all! They primarily sell only one brand. They had one tiny section of multicolored RedHeart but an entire aisle of I Love This Yarn. Sorry hobby lobby, Ill keep my business at Joans and Michaels. I gave two stars because they were the only craft store open on this snow day.

I love this store. It is always well organized and rhe sales are amazing! My only complaint is the same evwryrime i go; lines are too long. They never have enough cashiers ready. Dont recommend going on a lunch break or if in a rush.

Dragged along by my wife, expected it to be a "chick store," but was pleasantly surprised! So many fly-tying materials! Tools and woodworking stuff too! Been back several times since. Check it out, guys!
