I went into this Pep Boys yesterday simply looking for just an estimate for new tires and an oil change. I knew they were only open for another hour and knew they probably didnt have enough time to complete what I needed done. After walking in and talking to Brian K for only a few minutes and talking to him about what I needed done he assured me that he would be able to get it all done for me that day. So we took a few minutes to pick out the tires I needed and went on his way to complete it. After sometime he came up to me explaining how terrible my rotors were. Many times you go into auto shops and they tell you how everything is wrong with your car (your break pads are bad, your rotors are shot, etc.) because they are trying to make as much money as they can off you. But Brian actually took me and showed me the damage on them instead of just saying "how bad" they were. So after looking up pricing I agreed they needed to be changed. So he went back to work on my car and after a few more minutes came back to me explaining how bad my break pads were. I honestly thought he was pulling my leg this time. I knew my rotors were bad, but my break pads too? Again, He showed me how terribly destroyed my break pads were. There was nothing left of them but metal. So again we looked up pricing and I agreed that I wanted it done. Brian was extremely honest with me the whole time and gave me the best pricing I could have asked for. I do a lot of research when it comes to getting my car worked on and he truly gave me the best quote. I suggest this Pep Boys to anyone. The staff is extremely friendly and nothing but honest. And there prices are amazing! Thank you so much for everything Brian! I know where I will be going if I ever have a car issue again.

Found online under tire repair after hearing a nail in tire of 78 year old parents car. Sent my parents in after calling to see if they can do. They asked about tread and age of tire. Didnt understand what a "5" was in their terms and they couldnt explain except there way of gauging tread. I told them they were new tires. Then they asked if I bought the tires from them and I said no and they told me $25.00. They were the only place opened on Sunday. I asked if it can be done under the "repair" they claim to have and he said yes. I felt very "sold" on the phone. I sent them in and said I would take but they insisted. After a while I called to make sure they got their. Said all was good. They called me back and said they have to replace tire which I feel is BS. Im in construction and get nails in tires all the time and always get fixed. They swindled my parents because of their age and some BS about how the hole was too big. This place sucks and VERY untrustworthy. I vow never to use them for anything ever again and I will tell everyone about this scam they pulled!!!!!!!

Went in Friday 8/7/2015 for a Estimate for a Passenger side wheel bearing replacement. Lady at the counter said it would be 30min because only one Mechanic was working that day. I scheduled a appointment for 4:30pm Saturday 8/8/2015. Mechanic who did the test drive left the lot, and took it out on to Randle Road was gone for close to 15 minutes. He then brought the car into the shop, and spun the wheels around, then max out the RPMs spinning the wheels on the lift. During the Estimate the mechanic stated that both the Wheel Bearing, and Front Hub needed to be replaced. Estimate for parts was slightly high. Then I was then estimated for 5 hours of labor at 108 dollars a hour. All this while the Mechanics girlfriend, and buddy were using one bay for their own personal repair shop. Do not go to this Pep Boys. In the last 6 to 8 month its degraded into a scam labor shop run by teenage kids who think they can scam you with $108 dollar labor costs. When Mechanic labor is $60 to $85 dollars max.

Ive been in several times for service on both of my vehicles, and new tires. They have always been forthright and on several occasions have told me that I didnt yet need work (brakes, tires) when I asked them to check. They told me how long I had and when I came back for tires and asked about brakes they said I was fine. Many other places that would take any work if you seem willing to pay and never let you leave without a list of "recommended" additional work. The manager is great and has earned my trust, that they will tell me when and what I really need done.

Tried to get me to pay $2-3000 to have my 2005 grand am fixed. Was told "theres some big problems with your car. It needs some serious work." Oil leak, problem with the struts and new tires were the so called "big problems". Its an old car with over 150 thousand miles on it, most of these things are fairly normal. Had it checked out by Kevins in St Charles and they said there was really nothing urgent wrong with it. Pep boys is good for a quick oil change while you sit in a nice waiting area, but dont trust them with anything major.

This guys are LAZY. They will never do anything that have slight chance of being out of their direct responsibilities, with which they, apparently, also have problems. I was in need for used tire for my hobby project, and the guy at reception, understanding that I will not pay him today, just refused to do anything. Well, be sure that you lost bulk of money with this awful laziness. Go to their neighbors, there are bunch of good, cooperative people.

Be aware from this place if youre looking for an honest mechanic!! They kept me waiting 3.5 hours after making several mistakes on ordering the right parts for my cars breaks. Told me that they would waive for labor cost and only charge for parts because they completely dropped the ball. When I came to pay, they charged me 332.58 just for labor costs and flat out lied about what they promised. Very disappointing! Very dishonest manager!

Fast to explain nothing had a nail in my tire. Walked to Walmart they were going to call me. Got back with no call and said couldnt fix it. Little did they know my husband works for Bridgestone they just wanted to sell me new tires. Went to Walmart after the tire fixed and back home. I will never recommend them

After getting screwed over by another shop, I was able to take my car here for not only an honest opinion, but fast, quality service. Mike and James did everything I needed to replace two bent wheels and a tire, I couldnt be happier with the customer service I received and will most certainly be back.

I had my car in the shop for a week, they were great. Kept installing faulty starters (not pep boys fault, bought from another company), and were extremely helpful and nice about everything even though my car was a real pain in the butt.
