I have been a Verizon customer for many years and though the phone service is good the store serviceat the Palatine street in Arlington Heights is not. They try to confuse you and sell you more than you need. The salesman seemed good and friendly, but we had unlimited data so I know they wanted to get us off of being grandfathered into that program. So realizing we only used 7 GB when we were allowed unlimited access to data, they sold us 20 GB. Now that should be plenty, however by the end of the month they are saying we are going over. My son has been in twice and they said they did not know we were using 7, like we were lying about that. They could look that up. Their emplyees on the phone looked up our bill and found that out. We were not making it up. Also I have called and spoken to two managers. One said to come in, but when I called after the holidays he was no longer at that location. I have called the current female manager and she said she would check into it, but never called me back, 3 weeks ago. And this makes no sense that you use the phone the same amount and it racks up more gigabites. We went to Costco and they were much nicer, very knowledgeable and saved us money. Explain that one. One time we went in the store and one of the women told us there was no package that we were talking about. When we showed her it in the Verizon book, then she said we could get it. Please train your employees to give the client what they can afford and want. Your sales may go up, but your satisfaction on getting people what they need and can afford is low.

I handle the technology/cell phones/tablets for the company I work for, a business account with 150+ active lines. Ive been going to this store for all of our needs lately and the experience has been exemplary. Each of the employees greets me (and everyone that walks in) warmly, typically starting with opening the door for everyone that walks in. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable with just the right mix of suggestive salesmanship - meaning they offer services and accessories that they know I could actually use without just trying to push blindly for more sales. They keep me posted with updates on my account and always check for new deals or options that could benefit us. Each of the employees I have worked with have been great, but to name a few: Dave (general manager), Dan (who recently transferred to another store, I believe Lake Zurich), Chris J., and a young lady whos name I cant remember at the moment (sorry!). Occasionally there is a wait due to the amount of customers at the store, but everyone there is working diligently to make it as quick as possible. In addition to the service and device sales, I overhear a TON of customers asking basic questions and how tos on their phones, which they are happy to help with. I will say that most of those questions could probably be resolved with a quick Google search, but the employees dont bat an eye and walk customers through the process so they understand what theyre doing. Great job VZW, keep it up.

The store manager Celia was very attentive the moment my girlfriend and I walked into her busy store. I told her want we needed & wanted. Celia had Daniel the sales representative help us out. Mind you, I was paying way to much money for my phone bill monthly & we both needed new phones. So, I thought about switching to a new cell phone provider, but I like Verizons 4GLTE. Dan took his time to break down my bill to see what the problem was. Then he came up with a better plan for my girlfriend and I that would help us save some money. Which is always a plus in my book. He then helped us both out on picking some new phones. So, since Im a big Samsung Galaxy Tab user I had decided to get my first Samsung Galaxy Note5. Then Dan had a lot of positive things to say about the New Samsung Gear S watch & he made it sound like fun. So I ended up getting g the watch as well. Both devices are AMAZING!!! My girlfriend is unfortunately a huge Iphone user so she ended up with the New IPhone 6s & she LOVES IT!!! Thank God!! The bottom line from the Store manager to the Store sales representatives I had an pleasant/ fun experience. And I would definitely return to this store in the near future.

Came here to change my plan and to take a look at the new iphone6s. First they said the plan cannot be lowered. When I wanted to upgrade to the iphone6 they constantly tried getting me to buy an accessory package for $70. I can buy the accessories on the internet for 1/4 of that cost so I said "no". He then said that he can lower my package if I buy the accessories. Either you can or cannot lower my plan, but trying to force a customer to buy accessories to lower their plan is extortion. He said no one else could lower the plan even if we call in or go on-line. We went on-line and talked with a rep and lowered our plan and didnt even get asked to buy anything. I didnt end up getting anything from this store because of how pushy they are there. It got to the point that I even thought about switching my service provider completely, but I remembered that it was just this location that was horrible to me and not Verizon as a whole.

I am completely thrilled to say that I have had nothing but great service from everyone at this location! Ive been going to this specific location for years and I wouldnt change it for the world. The last couple times Ive been there there was one salesman in particular who I was just lucky to have, his name is Mike Ellingsen. Although I have dealt with a few others Mike has by far been one of my favorites. You can tell that he truly cares about the customer (which is hard to find) and it never wavers. Hes answered all of my questions and made my time there enjoyable and surprisingly quick. I am definitely going to continue going to this location and I will continue to recommend not just Verizon, but this location.

Horendous service, walked in and was told 50mn wait, this wouldve been fine if 2 of the 4 employees werent just sitting behind counter looking aimlessly into space instead of checking customers in or even better, actually working. A simple fix was told would take 2 days as they were "so swamped". Better off walking 50ft across lot to AT&T

I try calling and after fumbling around with their automated answering system, it doesnt even connect me to their store. Next, their idiot Melissa gives me attitude when I ask her a bunch of questions and then avoids my calls when Im having problems with the cheap piece of garbage phone that she sold me. I never should have switched.

I have got my droid from this store, after couple visits to store, got it, so this is wrong place for any services. I am strict on this - store must be closed. There is only two person who know devices, rest of just a bunch of dummies.
