Ive been in here a few times and really enjoy the atmosphere. Fair prices, and the books are generally in great condition. I was looking for a copy of Catch-22 but wasnt able to find it on shelves. I asked an employee and he searched their database and told me they didnt have a copy. He then proceeds to dig through a bunch of drawers behind the counter and pulls out a great copy of Catch-22 and tried to apologize it wasnt a hard copy. Perfect customer experience, and I really recommend this as a first stop over Barnes & Nobel.

They have such a wide variety of entertainment needs, you can get lost in a such a quaint store. It may not be physically big, but the store shows it wants to be so much more. In the past 14 years, so many good stores have come and gone that were so great compared to the cold steel and concrete of department stores. Thank god, half price books spawned in my area, I now have a place I can take my family and not feel walmarts presence.

Another great HPB. I was out there when they first opened and then came back in June 2016. Great selection, found some rare books I have been searching for. Again, staff is really friendly and helpful. They are book lovers first and sales people second. Always worth the drive out.

They gave me a horrifically low price for my books, despite saying they give the market value. On top of this the books are confusing as hell to find. If you want to wander around looking at books its great, but youre much better off selling your books on eBay.

If youre looking for discount books, music, comic books, classic videogames, etc... this is the place to go. The selection is excellent and the staff is generally quite nice. In my experience, better deals can be found here then at many thrift stores.

They always have a great price for new books and all sorts of nerdy items. The price you receive from SELLING books leaves a little to be desired but the fact you can get books, in person for around 20% less than even some websites makes this worth it.

This is a great place to come look for hidden gems! I actually check here for Christian literature first before going to the Christian bookstore next door (ironically enough). Great diversity, great prices! My favorite place to go book hunting.

Prices are hit or miss The employees have always been nice and helpful For the NW burbs it has more interesting books and music than you would expect. Though time is necessary. Ive experienced more unpleasant customers here than expected.

Almost all the books look new and for the price they are sold it a good deal , they have bundles around the store where you can find bags full of books for just about $20 the workers are friendly the store overall has a good vibe.

One of my favorite pass times is going to this store. I collect order video games and they have a decent selection and they also sell OG game systems. And the book selection is quite nice as well
