Fun place with a great selection. The true heart and soul of Breadloaf, however, is its owner Harold Johnson. Harold is a fascinating person with incredible stories to share. He really cares about the community and having books available. Hes funny and an actor in the community theatre. I recommend Breadloaf not only for their excellent book selection, but as an avenue to stop and have a chat with this fascinating person.

A wonderful bookshop, would highly recommend as the book store does not only have a wonderful new AND used collection, but also has stories, history, and local work offered by the owner and local writers. Quaint and beautiful, the Breadloaf captivates interest and always has me coming back.

If youre looking for a like-new hardcover book at a discount, this is the place to go. The paperbacks leave something to be desired -they are in fair/good condition, but priced higher than what you could find at a thrift store or garage sale.

The owner Harold is very helpful, and knows a lot. Usually hell entice you with a story of his own and youll be there for an hour before you know it. If you have book requests, he can usually find them. Highly recommend.

We werent greeted at all not spoken to by the older lady that works (owns?) the store. Garage sale collection of books priced like new. Sad - cause we wanted to buy some new summer reads.
