I went here a few months ago with my bridesmaids to look at bridesmaids dresses from the allure collection. HCtB had a good selection and almost had all the dresses my girls wanted to look at. I picked HCtB because they had the best reviews of the stores in a 20-30 minute drive from my apartment and seemed to have a nice selection, which was great for three out of my seven bridesmaids since one lives right next door to me and the other 30 minutes north. It seemed like at least two of the girls were going to go to whatever store I took them to out of convenience. We had two appointments and I was up-front with them that I didnt believe all my bridesmaids would be ordering dresses from them; three live out of state, one is from the city and then the other three live in a 20-30 minute radius. I felt bad for potentially wasting their time, but we needed a store to try dresses on and for my girls that are super close wanted to get dresses closer to home, Id rather them go here than two other local stores that are known for awful service and a few other issues. The three that live nearby did not do that due to the service we received on Sunday. (See second appointment.) First appointment: We worked with Samantha on our first visit and she was great, helped the girls with the dresses and fitting into them (which was hard for one of them because she’s on the bustier side.) Wasnt too pushy about the dresses (I was worried the store was going to be) or about having to get them from them that day and mostly had me sold on the fact that with their alterations they add cups into the dresses so the girls dont have to worry too much about bras. They were only a little short when one of my maids asked for the numbers of the dresses she tried on. Shes located in Ohio and barely has vacation days to come and visit, as well as attend the two weddings she is in next year. Also, shes extremely worried/anxious about the cost of the dresses, especially since the one dress she decided was at the top of her list was $180-ish. Otherwise, it was very painless and we felt we left on a good note besides the asking for the number. Second appointment: I come in the next day with three other girls, they marked me down for 2, when I said 2-3 due to one still being up in the air because she had her wisdom teeth removed on Friday. I guess they were pretty busy at this time and only had the tailoring room for the girls to try on dresses. We all kind of crammed into it, because it might have been a little awkward waiting outside of the room. We were "checked-up" on, were helped fitted one time and they asked how we were doing of course we said fine because we felt like we were a burden. Two of my maids who also worked retail and were just applaud by the customer service they received. (One is a stylist for a higher-end chain fashion store and said she’d never be so off putting to her customers even if it was a bad day for her.) This was the day that I came in with the girls that lived closet to the store. We ended up ordering majority of the dresses (except one, which was my friend from Ohio) from the store I’m getting my wedding dress from, because even when I tried on dresses for my friend’s wedding the store never withheld the dress numbers from me (nor were they miffed about it) and if they didn’t have a dress but had something similar would offer that as an option to try on to get an idea how the dress may look.

After doing a lot of online research and reading a bunch of great reviews I decided to start my dress shopping at HCTB. Several reviews mentioned the location of the salon (in a sketchy strip mall, just off the highway) and they were totally right. My mom and aunt came with me to my appointment and both questioned the quality of the salon as soon as we got out of the car. My appointment was with Rose who owns HCTB. She didnt waste any time and we started my appointment right away. She started by picking some great dresses based on what I had described, then she brought in some other dresses she would recommend after asking if I was open to other styles. She has a great eye for what works for different body types and picked some great options. In the end I was torn between two dresses, one that was my original style and one that she had suggested. When I explained to her that I couldnt make up my mind and wanted to get some feedback from my MOH who lives in South Dakota, she got very short with us and wouldnt even make eye contact when my aunt began asking questions about how alterations were done and show long it took to get the dress shipped. She acted like she didnt have time for us and called up the next appointment who had shown up early. My appointment wasnt even over!!! Because of this I will not be returning to HCTB. While the prices will be hard to beat, I think it is worth it to pay a little more for better service. After leaving my mom pointed out that she hadnt seen Rose smile once during our appointment. Since then I have gone to a shop in Geneva and will be purchasing my dress from them.

I have nothing but praise for this place! I was dreading wedding dress shopping because I feared it wpuld be an embarassing nightmare where I am too big to even try anything on. I am a plus size bride (size 24) and they had sample dresses I could actually try on to get a fairly good idea of how the proper size would fit! This, more than anything deserves 5 stars! Other bridal shops may carry dresses that come in plus sizes, but having a sample size 8 or 10 is useless to me! Additionally, the ladies at Here Comes The Bride were accommodating and helpful throughout the process of trying dresses and the many stages of alterations were done in house. The fitting rooms were clean, spacious and private and their selection of gowns was pretty extensive. A lot of styles i saw online were in this shop. Finally, their building is handicap accessible which meant my mother-in-law was able to join us for dress shopping! Lastly, I followed their timeline for alterations and I felt the time crunch in the end when further adjustments needed to be made. One thing I would have changed is to have had one more alterations appointment planned ahead just in case. But thats really not their fault - and ultimately, the dress was ready in plenty of time.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Here Comes the Bride. I shopped at several other boutiques & each time become more disappointed and frustrated for my search for the perfect dress. A friend recommend I go here & I kept putting it off thinking I could find a dress closer to home. I arrived early & was greeted right away. The sales consultant told me to start picking out dresses from the rack that fitted my taste. As soon as they saw the style I was going for, they kept pulling more for me to try on. I ended up choosing a dress that was complete opposite from my original plan. I told them I was nervous about choosing a style so different than what I had in mind & they told me to take my time and think about it. This was the first store I went to where I mentioned I liked a dress but wasnt 100% sure & they didnt rush over all the sales consulants/ seamstress to tell me how I should buy it. I ended up buying the dress & was amazed at the price. No other bridal stores (not even the plain styles I tried on at Davids Bridal) could match the price they sold me my dress for. I would absolutely recommend this store for any brides looking for that perfect dress!
