I come here a lot and its a great bookstore, provided that you understand that it shares its use with a Starbucks, a computer store and a college bookstore. I would rate it my 2nd-3rd favorite in the City -- behind Perimeter and Buckhead.The books are primarily on the first floor. The pickings are varied, more than you might find at other places, but less popular books. The second floor has an excellent selection of math books, which should be no surprise. And its possible to read books in the Starbucks downstairs. (The magazines are also close by.)Theres great space upstairs to do some work, if thats what youve come to do. Many Barnes & Nobels doe not have great seating, so this is a step up. And there are great views to the Courtyard.Whats the downside -- this is an odd thing to say, but there are a fair number of folks whom are there because it is a free space. Thats true at a lot of bookstores in downtown areas. But it is a little surprising on a college campus. That detracts from being able to read -- and that is mostly upstairs. When GT is in full swing, thats not such a big deal, but when its not, youll notice it and it will detract from the experience.Of course, if your goal is to buy books, you may not notice that, but just the slightly smaller selection -- replaced by an excellent selection of GT gear.Photo of Barnes and Noble @ Georgia Tech Bookstore - Atlanta, GA, United States. I came in today looking for 2 specific books for my sons summer reading reports that I did not find at the library. When I got in my car I realized one of the books was not going to work because although it was on my sons list, it was below his reading level. I went inside to return it and Judy S. (THE MANAGER) was as the counter. I clearly and politely stated that I needed to return the book because it wasnt going to work for us after all. She slammed the book on the counter and said "Go get the book that you want then." I again told her that I did not need the book. She responded "well then he wont have a book for his report now will he?" I told her that I would get a more challenging book for my son at the library. Her response in a smart alicky way : "Good luck with that!" with a nasty look on her face. From some of the other reviews I have read this lady has some issues. Shes supposed to be the manager. I will not be returning to this store.

Two stars solely because of the abominable Judy at the checkout counter. She was very coarse and seemed like it was such a bother that I needed to be rung up both when I bought a few things the other day and today when I had to return an item. I got a wonderful "hold on I have a lot to do to get ready for tomorrow" (talking about the next Harry Potter release) when I came in today. I understand how hectic releases like that must be, but I also have many things to do to get ready for tomorrow - and today might I add - but I am by no means flippant and annoyed with those I must interact with. I work in customer service so I totally get it... But Im also 23 years old and know how to treat a customer. Im sure the rest of the staff is fabulous - and they could certainly teach Judy a thing or two.

I hate the Starbucks here because they dont accept money via the Starbucks app. Workers in Starbucks and the store itself were very passive aggressive and rude. I was trying to work on an assignment with a few of my friends, but we have to do move 3 times in order to find outlet because they would not allow us to plug in outside of the Starbucks. Once we did find an outlet, a worker at Starbucks forced us to unplug because the wire was "too long". Definitely dont recommend this place for any students trying to work and finish assignments. Hate everyones bad attitude.

I love this store and location . Its nice in the side and outside . The staff here is very helpful . You can find books , of course , board games , very nice journals even journals that can help you start writing and even get to know your self more. There are other kinds of journals . They have lots of seating inside and enough for the outside. A good place to clear your mind

Will never return to this location again. Despite the great customer service from most of the staff, the cashier Judy S. ruins the experience. She acted like it was an inconvenience to ring up my purchases, wouldnt even lift up the scanner to scan my coupon off my iPhone (she kept telling me to hold it closer to the scanner) and was overall very rude.

This Barnes & Nobles customer service staff is great. They were quick to assist me, they worked as a team and assist each other with helping the customer without being asked. Great teamwork, great customer service!

Limited, albeit owned by Barnes and Noble. Does not accept Starbucks gift cards or participate in Starbucks deals. Very few outlets for a place thats supposed to be conducive to studying.

The selection is phenomenal, I enjoy all aspects from the books to the coffee and the music & movie selection is amazing across a wide variety of formats ( LP, CD , Blu Ray, &DVD).
